Aamir Khan signs whopping Rs. 88 crore deal

Posted: 31 May 2013 10:24 AM PDT

Bollywood stars are well known for their hefty charges. The majority of the income of the cine stars is from films and endorsements. The tinsel town is well known for its fair share of competition among the celebrities to get a higher pay than the contemporaries. But, this time it seems that Aamir Khan has won the race with a convincing margin.

Aamir believes in his social responsibilities and therefore he was involved with advertisement campaigns with a strong social message in them. But now a reputed electronics brand wanted to cash on the popularity of the actor and wanted him to appear in a series of advertisements for the brand.

Aamir Khan will be working for the series of advertisements of the brand during the period of a year and he has charged a whooping Rs. 88 crore for the endorsement deal. A few advertisements of the series are already in air and the rest will be shot soon. Aamir will be paid the amount over a certain period of time.

An internal source stated, "After Aamir ended his contract for his previous commercial brand endorsements during the shoot of his TV show with a social message, this is the first ad he has done for a commercial brand. He is careful about choosing endorsements and when the company offered him the deal, he took his own time to sign it. After the initial talks, he quoted a huge amount of Rs 88 crore."

The source farther added that, "Aamir's fee appears to be mindboggling but the brand wanted to shoot a series of ads with him. They were looking forward to a change in their strategy and hence agreed to rope in Aamir even at such a high cost. They are eagerly waiting to see if the sales figures have shown growth after the actor came on board."

The spokes person for the actor didn't wish to comment anything on the topic and Aamir Khan himself remained elusive to face any question. We look forward to the advertisements and their effect on the sales figure of the brand as well. After all this can be a case study to understand the return on investment that a cine star can provide in India and whether it is a wise decision to invest such huge amount on them for brand promotion.

Akshay downplays box office battle with Shah Rukh this Eid

Posted: 31 May 2013 10:24 AM PDT

This Eid two superstars - Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar - will be clashing at the box office with their respective films, but the latter says too much should not be read into this and hoped both movies will do robust business.

"I don't take it as Shah Rukh vs Akshay. Two films releasing together is a positive thing. Eid is a big day and both films will do well. One should not see too much into this," Akshay said this evening.

He was speaking to reporters here at the first look launch of 'Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Again' (OUATIMA).

Ever since Salman Khan's 'Wanted' hit the theatres on Eid in 2009 and did roaring business, it had almost become a tradition for the actor to have a release around that time of the year. But he has no film releasing on Eid this year.

Two movies, 'Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai 2' and 'Chennai Express', will compete at the box office around the festival on August 8.

'Chennai Express' is a romantic comedy directed by Rohit Shetty and it stars Shah Rukh and Deepika Padukone.

The Milan Luthria-directed 'Once Upon A Time...' is a gangster-romantic flick with Akshay, Imran Khan and Sonakshi Sinha as protagonists. It is a sequel to the 2010 hit 'Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai'.

Last year, Yash Chopra's 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan' and Ajay Devgn's 'Son of Sardaar' released during Diwali. The battle between the two films took an ugly turn when Ajay filed a case accusing Yash Raj Films of abusing its dominant position.

Also, the promo of 'OUATIMA' will release alongside Karan Johar's 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani'. This led to rumours that Karan was favouring Akshay over good friend Shah Rukh.

When asked about the same, Akshay said, "I don't think it is right to say such things. Our promo was ready hence it is coming with this film ('Yeh Jawaani...'). We all are friends here. After all we are from same fraternity.

Sana Khan gives her version of the kidnapping story

Posted: 31 May 2013 10:24 AM PDT

Talking exclusively to a national newspaper, the TV actor finally broke her silence by saying that she wasn't involved in the kidnapping case

Days after reports emerged about Sana Khan's alleged involvement in the abduction of a 15-year-old girl, the Bigg Boss 6 reality show contestant finally came out in the open to tell her version of the story. It was reported that Sana had gone missing ever since she was booked in the case. But the actor cleared the air saying, "I am very much here, shooting for my films, attending events and performing at live shows in the last one month."

While talking to a newspaper, Sana who'll be seen in Salman Khan's Mental, claimed that she didn't want to kidnap the minor girl. In fact she went to the girl's house to meet her mother who's a huge fan of the actor and her cousin and his friend who has been arrested didn't even enter the house.

The actor also said, "My cousin Naved insisted that I meet the girl who was sitting inside an ice-cream parlour. If there was a problem between her and Naved, why would she come out to meet me?" and added, "The CCTV of the building in which the girl stays should be having all the evidence – what time I went there and how long I was around – to know the real story. The spot where the family has alleged that the kidnapping took place is a crowded area. If there was any such attempt, many would've seen it. I was not hiding or covering my face; the whole world knows who I am today."

Sana earlier had asserted that the minor girl's family members have been trying to earn money easily framing her in a false case, and vowed to fight the situation.

Pavitra Rishta: Ankita Lokhande resumes shooting after a 3-month break

Posted: 30 May 2013 11:06 AM PDT

Rumour had it that the character of Archana was getting a new face on Pavitra Rishta, but it is now confirmed that actor Ankita Lokhande – the original face of the character, has resumed shooting for the show

There were even speculations that actors like Shilpa Saklani and Gautami Kapoor were being considered to play Archana.

The actor, who will be seen on Pavitra Rishta after a break of three months, said that she is grateful to Ekta Kapoor and her team who allowed her to take the break. "Yes, I had indeed taken a break as I wanted to spend some quality time with Sushant (Singh Rajput) and my family. These three months have been a refreshing change of pace," said Ankita.

"Now that the show has completed 1,000 episodes, and my request for a much deserved break has been suitably accommodated, I'm back for the second innings on the show. I look forward to an equally enthusiastic response from my fans," she added.

For the last few months, Ankita's character, Archana was shown to be in a coma and doctors are trying their best to bring her out of it.

Sherlyn Chopra wants to marry a man who respects women!

Posted: 30 May 2013 11:06 AM PDT

The Kamasutra 3D babe is not sure if she would ever be able to find someone for herself; leaves the job to her mother

Sherlyn Chopra is lonely. She is looking for a real mard who can look after her and have a heart-to-heart conversation with her. Apparently, the sizzling siren's mum was looking for a guy for her. When asked about this piece of news, Sherlyn replied with all honesty that it's true. "Yes! Mom says I should marry. I told her that I don't have anyone in my life, so if she can find somebody for me, it would be great, because I am not sure whether I would ever be able to find someone for myself," said the 31-year-old Playboy mate.

The Chopra chick maintains that she doesn't like going clubbing or to discotheques. Surprisingly she keeps herself very busy and hardly even goes out with friends. "After my day is over, I come back home and spend time with my pet and caretaker," she added.

We think the bold babe should start mingling more so that she can find her dream man. But what kind of guy is she actually looking for? A tall, dark and handsome, straight of Mills and Boons series, we wonder! "I am in search of someone with whom I can converse for hours. Real mard woh hai joh har kism ki aurat ki izzat karna janta ho, na ki yeh sari pehanti hai, virgin hai, toh achchi hogi. Somebody who can take me to his family and say, I want to marry this girl, oh yes, abhi!," said the elated babe.

And you still think Sherlyn is a hardcore, high-maintenance gal? The sexy lady is just another true love-seeking lass. So tell us who, from B-town, in your wise opinion will be the perfect match for her?

Posted: 27 May 2013 10:08 AM PDT

Shruti Haasan who was last seen in Madhur Bhandarkar's Dil Toh Bachcha Hai Ji is back again in the Bollywood. This time, Shruti has two films releasing back-to-back for her. One is Prabhudheva's Ramaiya Vastavaiya and the other one is D-Day by director Nikhil Advani.

"I was independent from the time i was a kid. I even used to say no to my mother's help during my school home-work. I would always solve my problems my way. I love my family, But i am such a person who would like to sleep and wake up alone. May be this is the only reason why i am devastated at the idea of marriage." said Shruti Haasan while promoting her up coming flick Ramaiya Vastavaiya.

On agreeing to work on the film, Shruti added "Actually there were lots of reasons. First of all Prabhu Sir (Prabhudheva) and everyone knows about his work. Kumarji (Kumar Taurani) and the entire Tips team. I was really very excited about working with this team. And on top of it, We had a very good team."

Girish Taurani, Son of Ramesh Taurani who is the owner of Tips is being introduced opposite Shruti in Ramaiya Vastavaiya. Sonu Sood also plays an important role in the film.

Mallika Sherawat’s lies or her fake accent, What’s worse?

Posted: 27 May 2013 10:08 AM PDT

The Hisss actor gets caught in a web of her own making as a video interview of hers goes viral
In today's time, with the Internet cutting the distance between people, actors just cannot afford to tell stories. Especially not at the world's most prestigious film festival, from where news is bound to travel far and wide! However, no one seems to have explained this logic to the Murder actor Mallika Sherawat. Or maybe she hasn't gotten her head around the intricacies of using the net….we're not sure what the truth is.

Much to the annoyance of millions of desi viewers, Mallika was seen and heard boasting about her cinematic accomplishments in an interview she gave at a media booth at the 66th Cannes International Film Festival. The Hisss actor was seen telling the interviewer in an accent that was neither Indian nor American but definitely exotic, that she was the first person to kiss onscreen. The lady spoke with all her heart, obviously believing deeply in herself, saying that the 17 kisses that she shared with her costar (Himanshu Malik in Khwahish, 2003) onscreen helped champion women's causes in India. She even insisted that she was the first one wear a bikini in an Indian film!

Of course, she seems to have forgotten that a far more talented actor called Devika Rani kissed her co-star and later husband Himanshu Rai several decades earlier, in a 1933 film called Karma, the liplock lasting four minutes! And there are more than a dozen heroines who wore bikinis long before Mallika did, starting with Sharmila Tagore in 1967 (Evening in Paris), Dimple Kapadia (Bobby, 1973), Zeenat Aman (Qurbani, 1980), Aruna Irani (Bombay to Goa, 1972), Rakhee (Sharmilee, 1971), Mumtaz (Apradh, 1972), Madhrui Dixit (Mujrim, 1989)… we could go on and on! This only goes to show what a regressive mindset Mallika herself has, to subvert a whole chapter in the history of Indian cinema just to appear 'cool' and 'with the times', no?

Ms Sherawat also went on to say that after the many kisses she did, she became a fallen woman even as she attained superstar status in India. Not entirely true, wethinks. Her choice of movies like The Myth (with Jackie Chan, 2005) and the debacle of epic proportions that was Hisss (2010) were more responsible for boring holes in her career, rather than the temporary fame her kissing scenes got her. Sure, we admit that Bollywood is not as progressive as it should be when it comes to giving leading ladies their due, but it isn't as bad as Mallika makes it out to be either. But we know that in any women's empowerment that will take place in the future, Mallika's shapely self will not aid the cause!

Guess she just needs better PR these days. And an accent coach!

My father is extremely protective about me: Bobby Deol

Posted: 27 May 2013 10:08 AM PDT

Bobby Deol, 44, may be a part of a filmi family, but theirs is an extremely non-filmi house. He has learnt to be true to himself, down-to-earth and humble, as his dad taught him to be. He is moody, sensitive and shy and chooses to talk to the media only when he has to, for instance now, for his upcoming film Yamla Pagla Deewana2. Over an hour-long conversation with TOI, he talks about his large-hearted father, his strong mother, and why he feels overprotected. Excerpts:

How did you get to name your younger son Dharam?

My father shifted to our Juhu home when I was born. He named his four kids Sunny, Lali, Anu and Bobby. So, I had thought if I got married and had kids, I would have four and name them that, as the names were unisex. I have only two boys as my wife is from the next generation. When Aryaman was born, I wanted to name him after my father, but everyone was uncomfortable with the idea of calling him by my father's name. Then, when I had my second son, I said, 'You know what, no one calls papa by his name anyway.' So, we named our second son Dharam. And I have no pet names for him, as I hated the idea of pet names. My pet name is Bobby and the real name Vijay is on documents like on my passport. So, it's really confusing. If an Indian is the immigration officer, I have to keep telling him, 'Main hi hoon yaar Vijay Singh Deol' (Singh as they are Aryasamaji Sikhs). Likewise, Sunny's name is Ajay Singh Deol. Abhay had the cutest dimples as a child and thus, his pet name was Dimpy, but he uses his real name otherwise.

How did you cope with living in a traditional family, being a modern child?

I used to be a rebel. Until I was 17, I wanted to party and was not allowed to go out. In school, my deadline was 6 that got extended to 9 in college. I couldn't understand why. I wanted to party and do the regular stupid boy things and would sneak out at night. Abhay and I shared a room. Once when I was back, I looked at Abhay sleeping next to me and realized that even he had snuck out. My mom always told me I was a bad influence on him. But, as you grow older, you realize that every parent has their insecurity about their child, and you realize that only after you have your own kids. The pain that you thought you got while growing up, becomes all love of your parents towards you. It happened to me as soon as my first son was born. He was unwell and in the ICU for a week. It's then, when I saw my parents and family, I got my strength. All the hardships and pain your parents go through to bring you up just hits you.

Let's talk about your father...

I worship my parents. I was studying in Jamnabai Narsee School and when I was in Class VI, Billa and Ranga kidnapped my best friend Manish Parekh. He was the only child who had survived their kidnapping. So, he came back home and narrated how he had been harassed. The cops came to our home to warn us to also be careful. That's it. Manish was eventually allowed to go out, but my parents just became more rigid about not letting me go. But, I enjoyed my childhood, which kids today don't get to enjoy as the world around them has become so fast. The internet has ruined them and they look at things much before their parents can get a chance to explain it to them. I slept in my parents' room till the age of 14. But I was a big child, so soon I was thrown on to a gadda. My father is my superman and is extremely protective about me. I have always believed that my father can take away difficulties and make things better. Even though we live in the same house, I may not see him for weeks, but I know that if he is there, everything will be fine. He always wants to look after everybody, not just his own family, but his extended family, and has settled everyone. He's a giver and is a people's person. He can be walking anywhere and even if people don't know him, they love him. He attracts people around him. It's not that we have not had arguments or not hurt each other, but he is my hero.

Let's talk about your mother...

My mother is the strongest woman in my life. To be from a small town and be a part of the industry, which is about so much glam, where everything is in your face, your personal life is not your own and to not only cope with that, but be the strength of the house, look after every one and still be happy, is amazing. She was not even a proper adult when she got married. She is my strength. If I am low and need to talk to someone, I will call her. Though now, I don't, as I know she will get upset. I am so glad I am not a woman as I would not have been able to cope with it.

It's obvious that your brother Sunny loves you a lot...

My brother is like a father to me. When I look at him with his sons, I tell his sons you are so lucky. I had to go through what they don't. He is quite lenient with them. He would not let me go out and he had no interest in going out himself. We became better friends when I grew up.

Are you still too protected?

I am still a child and have been protected for too long. It's not good, as to face the world you cannot be so protected. That's why I am away from things as I am too honest about everything.

What is your wife Tanya like?

It was love at first sight. I met her after my first film Gupt, when I broke my leg falling off a horse and had to slow down. I was 27 then and never gambled ever, but that night, I tagged along with one of my friends to play cards on Diwali, as I had a handicap. She was there and I saw her. I chose to lose money to her and asked her out for dinner. I would have married her even earlier, but had to wait for five months to marry her as I had to wait for my operation to get over. She is really strong and has a lot of positiveness in her and has a never-give-up attitude. My wife tells me I am too soft and naive and too good for the world. And, yes, she would like me to be more of an adult.

How different are you with your sons vs how your father was with you?

I try and spend a lot of time with them. My dad used to almost live out of the studios. He spent the most time with me as I was the youngest. I love watching soccer and F1 with my kids. We all live together and bhaiya and me don't disturb our kids when all four of them are watching sports together. I always eat at home and love being in our joint family. Bhaiya can't stay away from dealing with the outer world as he is my older brother and has chosen to be my second father. But I just don't belong to this period. I wish I was born 50 years ago, when things were far simpler.

What would Dharamji and Sunny's advice be to you?

I have two fathers. And they both think that I am the best in the world and tell me, 'Why don't you let it out and show it to people?'

9 Things never to tell your hubby

Posted: 27 May 2013 10:08 AM PDT

Do you fake an orgasm when you actually didn't? Or find faults with the your husband's way of handling the kids, or pester him to find a new job? You may not realize it, but by saying so, you are making irreparable damages to your relationship.

Following is a list of nine statements compiled by Judy Ford, psychotherapist and author of 'Every Day Love' that you should never utter to your significant other, reports the Mother Nature Network.

First comes: "Yes, I had an orgasm."

Another statement that is a strict no-no is "You're just like your father." It's nasty and belittling, says Ford.

The third forbidden statement is actually very common: "When are you going to find a new job?"

The fourth hurtful statement is: "My mother warned me you'd do this!"

The fifth line, which is never a good idea to say, is "Just leave it — I'll do it myself!" Just because he's doing something differently than you would doesn't mean that he's doing it wrong.

The sixth statement, which can be heart breaking, is "You always... [fill in the blank]" or "You never... [fill in the blank]"

Then seventh statement that can be a serious blow is "Do you really think those pants are flattering?"

Saying so, you're insulting his looks without showing any genuine concern for his health, according to Ford.

Then eighth harsh statement is "Ugh, we're hanging out with him again?, which is an insult to your man's choice of friends.

The last but not the least is "Please watch the kids. But don't do this, take them here or forget that..." Let Dad-be-dad.

Deepika fortunate to be Prakash Padukone’s daughter says Sunil Gavaskar

Posted: 26 May 2013 04:53 PM PDT

The legendary cricketer said that Deepika is fortunate to have the same genes as one of the greatest sportsman of the world

Hailing former All England champion Prakash Padukone as "the greatest sportsman India has produced", cricketing legend Sunil Gavaskar Saturday said actor Deepika Padukone is lucky to be the badminton player's daughter.

"Deepika is the daughter of who, in my view, is the greatest sportsman India has produced. She is fortunate to have the same genes," Gavaskar said at the Eden Gardens, which hosted the second Indian Premier League (IPL) qualifier between Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals.

Prakash Padukone was a national badminton champion and won the coveted All-England Championship in 1980 and became the first Indian to do so.

He was honoured with the Arjuna award in 1972 and Padmashree a decade later. The batting genius felt it would be an honour to be in Deepika's presence, by virtue of her legacy.

"If I can't be anywhere near Prakash, at least if I can be with Deepika. Then I will say, 'there you are, Prakash's daughter',"added Gavaskar.

Mallika Sherawat: India is regressive and depressing place for women!

Posted: 26 May 2013 04:53 PM PDT

The actor expresses her views on the status of women in the country, and explains why she divides her time between India and the US

India is "regressive for women" and a "depressing" place to be, says Mallika Sherawat, explaining why she divides her time between India and the US. She was speaking the 66th Cannes International Film Festival, at an interaction at The Variety Studio. Mallika has flaunted the link of her interview on her Twitter page.

Talking to Variety's Steve Gaydos, the 36-year-old Indian actress, who divides her time between India and Los Angeles, was highly critical of her country, particularly for women.

"I made a conscious decision to divide my time between Los Angeles and India," she said. "So when I enjoy the social freedom in America and go back to India, which is so regressive for women, it's depressing. As an independent woman, it's really depressing."

Hailing from Rohtak in Haryana, Mallika entered the Indian film industry in 2003 with Khwahish and grabbed headlines for her cleavage-baring clothes and over 15 screen kisses. She also starred in popular Hindi films like Murder and Welcome.

She went international with Jackie Chan-starrer 2005 film The Myth, and then did Jennifer Lynch's Hisss and William Dear's Politics of Love.

Mallika's first visit to the Cannes fest was with Jackie Chan for the promotion of The Myth. actress is now busy with an Indian film, Dirty Politics. Talking about it, she said, "The film began six months ago and it's a biopic. It's a story of a woman who is a nurse, she gets involved with a politician and gets murdered in the end. It shows how the government reacts to it."

"India is a hypocritical society where women are really at the bottom as compared to men. And here was this woman (in the film) who actually had the courage to stand up to this politician who kind of raped her, molested her, abused her and record his misgivings and release it to the press," she added. "You don't do that in a country like India, and she had the courage to do that."

She claimed she was the first actress in India to kiss on screen and wear a bikini.  "And instantly I became a fallen woman and a superstar at the same time. Because there is a moral code – that this is what a leading lady can do on screen and this is what she can't do.  "But I did everything I am not supposed to do."

Mallika shared how there now was a "new wave of young Indian directors, producers and writers who are inspired (by) American cinema, European cinema and are making meaningful films. But it's a very small section".  She even took credit for bringing a wave of change. "I was one of those actresses who said that in 21st century, how are you going to show passion on the screen? It can't be symbolic any more, and we've got to kiss on screen. So yes, there's a change happening, which is very positive," she added.

4 mind games women play on men

Posted: 26 May 2013 04:53 PM PDT

Women are known to be the torchbearers of mind games! But jokes apart, men will definitely acknowledge the fact that women do know the game better than them.

The waiting game
There's no woman on this planet who hasn't mastered the art of getting late for a date or making her man wait endlessly. Women derive fun from this. It not only makes her feel important but also dominant in the relationship!

The bait game
The bait game is common amongst most women in their 20s or 30s. The forever question of asking your boyfriend/husband whether you look fat in a particular dress is something most of us constantly do on a day-to-day basis. If he says yes, you immediately seek recluse. But if he says a no, then you end up feeling that he just doesn't care.

The 'hard to get' game
This is one game each and every woman plays in the beginning of her relationship, irrespective of the age. A woman does this to simply either put off the guy, make herself feel important or test his worth.

The 'dumb game'
Most women know that they are better at maths than her crush but still prefer to play dumb! For example, even if she knows how to connect the wire to the TV, she would love to play dumb and ask the guy to do it for her.

These are just a few mind games that women love to play on men to get him to do things she expects out of him.

I don't know about acting on TV: Saif Ali Khan

Posted: 26 May 2013 04:53 PM PDT

Three of Bollywood's famous Khans - Shah Rukh, Salman and Aamir - have already had a taste of the small screen, but Saif Ali Khan is happy being distant from it. Neither does he enjoy the drama content, nor does he find any entertainment in reality TV.

"I don't know about acting on TV. I feel we need great content on TV. As of now, it is cornered by housewives, and I feel there's a need for content for young boys. Our TV is not as good," Saif told IANS.

As a viewer, he enjoys watching TV, and believes it shouldn't be called an "idiot box".

"I like to watch a few episodes of British and American shows once in a while, and one has to admit that the quality of some of their shows is as good as movies somehow," he added.

Saif, who was recently seen in his home production "Go Goa Gone", says no-no to Indian TV reality shows as well.

"I can't bear reality TV. Why would I want to watch all of that? I don't like shows like 'Big Brother'. I like drama," he said.

While Saif has kept away from the small screen, his veteran actress mother Sharmila Tagore has earlier judged music reality show "Dhoom Macha De", and actress sister Soha Ali Khan has hosted "Khelo Jeeto Jiyo".

10 Things a woman should know

Posted: 25 May 2013 10:33 AM PDT

We list 10 things every woman should know
1. Calling you does not mean we are hitting on you
Most men are left wondering that why's it that just because he called you, you assumed he wants you to fill in the post of his girlfriend. He may actually just want to hang out with you.

2. You are much prettier without all that makeup

Your basic foundation and kajal is fine, but layers upon layers of makeup only makes you unappealing to your guy. So keep it simple.

3. When you act giggly, it's seriously embarrassing

When you spot your gang of girls while you are out with your boyfriend, don't squeal and go giggly or jump up and down. Most men find it extremely childish.

4. Gossiping, whispering and writing notes makes you look shallow

When you pass notes or whisper when you and your friends are sitting at a table along with others makes it seem like you are still in your classroom.

5. Boys worry about what you think of their hair, skin, weight and clothes

Do tell your boyfriend if you think his new haircut makes him look cute or if his favourite T-shirt needs to be done away with.

6. PMS is no excuse to be mean

Yes, men do understand that every month you are likely to get crabby for a few days, but that's not reason enough to be mean and cranky all the time.

7. Talking about your butt is boring

It's a known fact that no boyfriend — who doesn't want to be dumped — will ever tell his girfriend that she is looking fat. So no in point discussing, arguing and then discussing some more, about weight issues with your boyfriend.

8. Tight clothes make you look sort of desperate and insecure

You may be in shape but anything that amounts to too much skin show is not going to be appreciated by your boyfriend. Don't keep showing how desperate you are. It can be a big put off if the guy is serious about you.

9. Most boys are looking for the right girl

It's not just women who are looking for Mr Right, but boys are looking out for their Miss Perfect too. So don't be scared to play the love game.

10. If you like him, just tell him

Don't pretend to ignore him and then cry when he asks another girl out for dinner. If he's interested in you, and if you feel the same way then respond. Don't keep the guy waiting too long.

Why is Salman Khan supporting absconding Mental co-star Sana Khan?

Posted: 25 May 2013 10:22 AM PDT

The actor tweeted that people out to see Sana behind bars have an ulterior motive
Superstar Salman Khan is sure that his co-star and friend Sana Khan, who has been missing since April 30, has nothing to do with the attempted kidnapping of a 15-year-old girl for rejecting her cousin's marriage proposal. The incident allegedly occurred in Navi Mumbai and Sana has been on the run since. Salman has come out in support of the actor on Twitter.

He said, "Poor Sana, so sad. First let her b cm famous then try n get sm publicity from her. This is the problem chappo any thing galat bhi ho toh," adding, "Y would a girl kidnap a 15 year old? For money? To get her married, At 4pm in a populated area. Investigate the complainants. Kamaal hai year."

Salman himself has several court cases against him, including the blackbuck poaching case and the hit-and-run incident in Bandra, Mumbai. And yet, he chose to speak about Sana on a social networking site. He went on about Sana, ""Obviously must b scared n running around n hiding , they hv a arrest warrant on her , 5 dharas , jail is not big boss's house dude. SAD. Obviously those people must have sm ulterior motives. Worked vit her on Bigg Boss, u hv seen her fr 3 months every day wat do u think."

Agreed, Sana was Salman's fave contestant on Bigg Boss 6 and no one was surprised when she landed a role in his film Mental. But why is Salman supporting her even before knowing about the entire alleged kidnapping case? Why does he want to get involved in another police case?

Chennai Express title track teaser: Listen to the clip

The title teaser of the Shahrukh Khan-Deepika Padukone starrer sounds similar to King Khan's IPL finals promo. We wonder if it's a mere co-incidence!

Those who have enjoyed watching Shahrukh Khan's IPL finals promo (at least the music buffs) can certainly agree that the title track of Rohit Shetty's upcoming romcom has uncanny resemblance to it. Considering the marketing genius that the Kolkata Knight Riders team co-owner is, SRK will definitely cash in on the cricket season and promote his film! In the IPL promo, SRK is seen promoting his movie, Chennai Express and cheering up the cricket freaks to 'Express' their emotions while watching their favourite team matches. "Watch the IPL finals with me and 'Express' yourself!" says Khan in the IPL promo.

The title track teaser of CE starts with similar lyrics – Get on the train, baby! And goes on – Ticket khareedke, baith ja seat pe, nikal na jaaye kahin Chennai Express. It's sung by the legendary singer, SP Balasubramaniam who has returned to Bollywood after a long time. We assume it's a rough cut and not a polished soundtrack, but still, it's quite hummable with Balasubramaniam's personal touch to it. So listen to the teaser of the song and tell us if it excites you or not!
