Will Priyanka Chopra’s Pinky be spicier than Babli Badmaash?

Posted: 30 Apr 2013 10:46 AM PDT

After showing off her sizzling moves in Sanjay Gupta's new gangster flick Shootout At Wadala, the sexy babe will now gear up for her next item number for Zanjeer called Pinky

Let's us be honest here: Priyanka Chopra did not quite live up to the hype of her Babli badmaash number. It was PeeCee's first item number and we expected something more exciting and original from this song and from her. The number has become a chartbuster, but it somehow left us wanting more. And now Priyanka will make up for what she lacked in her debut item song in her forthcoming track titled Pinky! At least, we hope so…
The new number from Apoorva Lakhia's much talked about high-octane action flick Zanjeer, we hear, will be sung by the Munni badnaam hui and Fevicol se singer Mamta Sharma. Ace choreographer Ganesh Acharya will make Priyanka move her sexy bod to the tune with his hatke steps.
We too are waiting to see how the unconventional pairing of Priyanka and Ram Charan Teja, son of South superstar Chiranjeevi will look on the big screen. But for now, we are excited to see what Ganesh Acharya, who has given us explosive numbers like Chikni Chameli and Halkat jawaani in the recent past, will dish out with the incredible PeeCee power.

Savita Bhabhi, Kamastura 3D: An erotic centenary for Indian cinema

Posted: 30 Apr 2013 10:41 AM PDT

Cineswami tells us more about Savita Bhabhi The Movie, the animated porn film that releases in the 100th year of Indian cinema

The ongoing celebrations in Delhi for the centenary of Indian cinema will conclude on May 3 with the presentation of the National Film Awards. May 3 is significant of course because that's the day, exactly 100 years ago, when Dhundiraj Govind Phalke's Raja Harishchandra, India's first feature length film, released. May 3 will also see the release of portmanteau film Bombay Talkies, by Dibakar Banerjee, Zoya Akhtar, Karan Johar and Anurag Kashyap (provided that Kashyap and Akhtar can stave off the plagiarism charges levelled against them and the release doesn't get stayed).
May 4 is the date that is a watershed for Indian cinema. That date sees the release of animated porn movie Savita Bhabhi The Movie, online. For a mere $24.95 (Rupees 1,352) early bird punters can snap up the erotic worm and late comers (if you read a pun in that your mind is in the gutter) can avail the pleasures of the animated aunty for $30 (Rupees 1,626). Watching the movie will not be a one-time pleasure. For the premature minded, not to mention the thrifty, the film will be available for slavering over for a whole year.
You have seen the tame version of the trailer on these pages. Having had the unfortunate experience of watching both trailers, Cineswami can assure you that they are sexually explicit and hardcore and leave nothing to the imagination. Now for a bit of history – the movie began life in March 2008 as an online comic strip created by somebody then known only as Deshmukh. The wildly popular first series, about the amorous adventures of the promiscuous bored and neglected housewife Savita, had 36 stories and the second that portrayed her at the age of 18, had 8. India eventually banned the strip in 2010, but anyone with a prurient enough doggedness could access it easily enough. The ban led to predictable outrage amongst armchair intellectuals and some foaming at the mouth for leftists and there was even an online Save Savita campaign.
It all came to nought when Deshmukh revealed himself as United Kingdom denizen Puneet Agarwal and shut down both the campaign and the strip. And now we have the movie. The plotline (yes, there is one) says, "India, 2070. The world has changed a lot. Freedom of speech has taken a hit to the nuts and censorship is everywhere. Citizens seem to have accepted it. Savita's inaugural venture on the big screen is full of surprises, twists and LOTS of sex. But it's also a movie with a message – it's time Savita fought back against the people who banned her!" Apparently, Savita also saves the world – on her back if the trailer is anything to go by.
And before you ejaculate in outrage, let us gently remind you that while the production and distribution of pornography is illegal in India, possession and watching is not. And before you go forth and multiply, leave some gas in your tank for Kamasutra 3D, also due in our centenary year.
May the fourth be with you….

Sunny Leone shoots for Sachiin Joshi’s XXX project!

Posted: 29 Apr 2013 10:24 AM PDT

Now before you start getting wrong ideas into your naughty head, let us clarify that it is actor Sachiin Joshi's popular drink endorsement we are talking about!

Sachiin Joshi could not have found a better celeb than Sunny Leone to endorse his energy drink XXX. Yes, that's the name of the energy drink Sunny was seen drinking in Filmistan Studio in Mumbai recently. The Canadian pornstar donned a sexy ghagra choli that revealed more than what she tried to hide. Sunny's husband, who is also her 'manager', accompanied her to the shoot.
As Sunny started gulping down the drink, albeit suggestively, the visuals made for a perfect XXX commercial. The babe has really found stardom and big bucks here in India. Ever since she has landed in the entertainment capital of the country Mumbai, she has been in the media glare for her notoriously popular image. After working in Pooja Bhatt's Jism 2, the adult film star is now gearing up for releases like Shootout At Wadala and Ragini MMS 2. The seductress is also making inroads into the world of commercials. After sizzling in a condom commercial, Sunny will now be seen getting energized…err…promoting Sachiin Joshi's energy drink!

Is Sunny Leone too hot for Dubai to handle?

Posted: 29 Apr 2013 10:14 AM PDT

The porn star turned Bollywood actor's performance at a Dubai nightclub was cancelled at the last minute by the UAE government

Sunny Leone, who has been welcomed more than enthusiastically by Bollywood is proving to be too hot to handle for the folks in Dubai, or so it seems. The Jism 2 babe was all set to perform the sexy moves that she learned while doing her item number (Laila) in Shootout at Wadala at the popular nightclub Wild in Dubai. However, it seems that the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing found out about her not too respectable past, and revoked permission to let her perform, at the last moment. The aggrieved organisers, left baffled by the move, had to refund the Dh 100 ticket money to everyone in the packed house and had to make entry free to the disappointed ticket holders. Sunny's husband and manager Daniel Webster confirmed the development: "Yes permissions were pulled at the last minute," he said.
Sunny is now hot haute property in Bollywood – apart from her existing audience from her former career – and we just know that the people of Dubai must have been dying to catch her in action! Also, considering the fact that Sunny will be heading back to the Gulf nation soon to promote Shootout at Wadala, we hope the authorities don't get cold feet once again even though all the requisite permissions are already in place. Of course, we're sure that feisty producer Ekta Kapoor will definitely take this kind of whistle-blowing quietly, not again.
Well, we sure hope Sunny doesn't prove too hot to handle the second time around!

Is Sunny Leone regretting signing a three-film deal for Rs 5 crore?

Posted: 29 Apr 2013 10:09 AM PDT

The Shootout At Wadala item gal is apparently contractually bound to not sign any other movie till she completes her deal with filmmaker Parag Sanghvi

It was certainly a mouth watering offer Sunny Leone – the popular pornstar-turned-Bollywood babe, and now an item gal – just could not refuse. But little did the curvaceous babe know that what looked like a tempting offer would actually end up becoming a burdensome restriction. A little birdie tells us that Sunny signed a three-film deal with producer Parag Sanghvi for an obscene amount of Rs 5 crore.
But now it is learnt that Sunny's contract with the filmmaker has a distinct clause according to which the adult star cannot work in any other project till she finishes her three-film deal. Is that the reason why the much-in-demand Sunny is not taking up any other offer after Ragini MMS 2 and Shootout At Wadala?
But Sanghvi is refuting these claims outright. "There's no clause banning her from shooting for any other film till she doesn't complete her films with us. She knows that if there are any such hurdles, we can mutually work around them. She is a professional and I am sure that she will not let the commitment to one film affect another one. It's her call completely. We plan to finish off three films in two years."
Well only Sunny can reveal…err tell us what the real story is. And we will definitely ask the beauty the next time we bump into her!

Deepika Padukone: 2012's most desirable woman

Posted: 29 Apr 2013 09:50 AM PDT

India has voted and chosen the Times 50 Most Desirable Women of 2012 presented by Peri Peri Skinwear. The 7.01 lakh votes received online on www.itimes. com/polls along with our vote decided the winners. TOI talks to Deepika Padukone, who tops the list.

What, according to you, makes you the most desirable woman of 2012?
I do hope that my desirability comes from my work and the person I am and that it's not just limited to the physical attributes. I am told I come across as a person who is warm and real. At the same time, people aspire to be like me as I am a young achiever without a film industry background.

Who would be the most desirable man for you?
Not as a daughter, but I find my dad really desirable and admire him for the person he is. In the way that he handles his success or the human being he is or his being an achiever, but yet being simple and humble. Men of that generation are rare to find today. That's what I will want in my man when I decide to settle down. Among my co-stars, at the moment my most desirable man will be Shah Rukh Khan. In my first film Om Shanti Om, I was new and extremely quiet and was just absorbing the experience. Working on Chennai Express has brought me closer to him and I can call him a friend. On a daily basis, I see a lot of goodness in him. He is extremely generous and is the warmest person I have met. And I can say this with a lot of confidence.

Ranveer Singh, in a recent interview to us, named you as his most desirable co-star. Do you also find him desirable?
He is a friend. Let's not complicate things. He is being really nice and is extremely honest. With him, what you see is what you get. He's like that all the time. The energy he portrays is not put on. We are working together and he doesn't have a choice at the moment. Today he finds me desirable, tomorrow he will find another.

In a fiercely competitive industry, do you feel a sense of achievement reaching the top position ahead of other actresses?
Yes, to a small degree. No, because you can't take these things too seriously. Yesterday it was someone else, today it is me and tomorrow again it will be someone else. But yes, I'm happy as it is a result of my work over the years and has not happened overnight.

You recently won the Critics Choice Award for the Best Actress at TOIFA. How did you feel?
Ecstatic. I got a message while the awards were on at Vancouver and I refused to believe it. Having said that, winning the critics at TOIFA is a huge deal. Winning Best Actress is one thing and critics another. I had got a day off and was with my parents in Bangalore that day and was thrilled to have them with me at such a time. I am waiting to return to Mumbai, so that I can collect my trophy and go to sleep with it for a night.

Sunny Leone replaces Mallika Sherawat

Posted: 27 Apr 2013 12:13 PM PDT

Change is the only constant in B-town and Sunny Leone seems to be the latest bombshell to be in demand. What's more with her increasing popularity she has already started bagging roles offered to someone else. So whose role has Sunny whisked away?

As reported by the media, Welcome sequel was to retain most of the original cast with new additions. But rumor has it that Mallika Sherawat has been replaced by Sunny Leone. zoOm has been tracking Sunny's popularity and she is definitely a rage amongst the youth.

Has Mallika lost her charm? Well the filmmakers are of the opinion that she isn't as hot as she was during the making of Welcome. Mallika did post a few pictures of herself on a social networking site recently, but clearly they proved to be no match for our very own Leila Leone.

Well, looks like the makers of Welcome have welcomed Bollywood's hot property Sunny Leone with open arms!

To know more, tune into Planet Bollywood News every day at 7 pm on zoOm - India's No. 1 Bollywood Channel.

Almost all my heroines are taller than me: Shah Rukh Khan

Posted: 27 Apr 2013 12:10 PM PDT

It has been a hectic schedule for Shah Rukh Khan, who was in Munnar for the past few weeks shooting for Rohit Shetty's 'Chennai Express'. Though, when we sat down for a chat, King Khan was his charming, witty and playful self.

"It's amazingly beautiful here when it rains. I can say I enjoyed those days when it rained and we had to halt the shoot more. And I'm so sorry I couldn't meet you more on the streets of Kerala," he begins.

Kerala connect
I've been to Kerala a few times before and I could sense the love they have for me here. In fact, once Mohanlalji took me on this boat and when we came under a bridge there was this huge crowd, cheering. I'm sure they were cheering for Mohanlalji but I hope some were there for me too. It was really touching. I've great memories of the song in Dil Se that we shot there. I didn't have a costume, so I wore Manisha's sari. The whole things was romantic and sensual and yes, I remember the oil massage I had too. And now we are in Munnar. Kerala has everything — beaches, backwaters, mountains, tea estates; it's really God's Own Country.

I regret not knowing Malayalam
Well, the only two words I know are peru and vayasu; if there is a role which requires the hero or actor to speak only those two words, I will surely take it up! To be more serious, I regret not knowing the language as I don't understand the films and hate subtitles. I think cinema is the most progressive and most evolved of all industries. And of course, there are friends of mine, Priyan Sir, Santhosh Sivan and many more here.

On Chennai Express
Chennai Express has love, action, romance... all on a large scale. To describe its broader aspect, it's a universal story about love. We have nearly 1600 languages in our country. The clothes change, the dialects change and at times, it can evoke a kind of regionalism. But the beauty of our country is that we can live together, eat together and be happy. If there is one aspect that unites all, it's love. So what we've done here is place the protagonist in a part of the country alien to him and show how he overcomes the cultural and linguistic barriers with the help of his lady love. We've also tried to include the culture of the south and it is my hope that people here enjoy the fact that we did it with so much charm and happiness.

Deepika first...
Almost all my heroines are taller than me so their names should come first in the titles. Jokes apart, the idea of having the heroine's name first was just a thought. It's not a movement and I know it's not going to change the world. But why not? Even at award functions, why is best actor first and not best actress? It's a belief; you have to believe and think they're equal, than just talk about it. When I'm producing a film, the actresses name will definitely come first and I'm sure big people will never really mind.

We'll be back...
We sure want to visit Kerala once again. We will try and come during the release of the film, at least to Kochi, where we can share the visuals we shot here.
