John Abraham leaves everyone awe-struck with his real bike lifting stunt

Posted: 30 Sep 2011 10:47 AM PDT

There is no denying the fact that John Abraham is the hottest hunk in Bollywood with perhaps one of the fittest bodies. The actor, who will be seen in action-packed 'Force' stresses on the fact that the movie has action sequences which are raw, real and very different from general action sequences in Bollywood films.

He says, "Salman Khan and Ajay Devgn have been doing action, but when you see Force you will know what action I am talking about. It is real action, simply amazing. I am very happy that their films (Wanted, Dabangg and Singham) have had super normal success. Ajay truly deserves it. His action in Aakrosh is superlative. But this film (Force) has raw action that you probably saw in Sunny Deol's Ghayal, Arjun Pandit and Dacait. The masses like that. They want to see some action, the kind where people are not flying!"

In fact, John has worked hard on his body for the film and went from 88 kilos to 96 kilos. In one of the sequences in 'Force' John has lifted a bike and reports have it that he has done the sequence for real without using cables that would bear most of the bike's weight.

In order to prove the truth in the report, at the promotion event of Force held recently, John actually lifted a 115 kg bike in front of everybody leaving everyone in awe.

Check out the hunk for yourself…………

Madhuri Dixit to settle in India with family

Posted: 30 Sep 2011 12:13 AM PDT

She was at the peak of her career when she married a NRI and moved to USA. Since then, she has quite contentedly kept herself busy with her husband Dr Shriram Nene and their sons Ryan and Arin. So, everyone was taken by surprise when she made an announcement of coming back and settling in India with her family. Madhuri attributes the reason behind her decision to be her husband's wish. She says, "Ram has always been fascinated by India and his heart always remained there whenever he's come to Mumbai. He wants to see the Howrah Bridge in Kolkata, Shimla in Himachal Pradesh, the Charminar in Hyderabad and the Ajmer Shariff dargah in Rajasthan as he's heard so much about them." Madhuri is going through mixed emotions right now. "Shifting from one country to another is physically and emotionally taxing. Right now, I am packing our stuff so we can come back in October. There's a whole gamut of emotions I am going through. I have been here for 10 years and have friends here. We had two cats but both passed away last year. The kids are having mixed emotions - they are sad about leaving their best friends behind in the US but are excited as India is a different environment," the actor concluded. Veena Malik makes her debut in Bollywood with an item number

Posted: 29 Sep 2011 10:25 AM PDT

Veena Malik has finally managed to make her debut in Bollywood with a spicy item number for Riteish Deshmukh-Genelia D'Souza starrer, Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya directed by Mandeep Kumar. Though this is her first item song, she feels that it was just the right one for her.
She says, "I had many offers but I wanted to pick the best one. This song is spicy and goes perfectly with my personality, at least I feel that. I hope its the right decision. Enjoyed doing it is an understatement."
When questioned about the reaction of the people of Pakistan on her gyrating on a spicy song, Veena says that they would love her all the same. "They love me. I'm their favourite child," she said.
She added that there's no concept of item numbers in Pakistan, "There are hardly any films being made in Pakistan at the moment. Hope that changes soon."

America fires fresh salvo at Pakistan, tells it to rein in ISI

Posted: 24 Sep 2011 12:05 PM PDT

WASHINGTON/ISLAMABAD: Brushing aside Islamabad's rebuttal, the US has fired fresh salvos charging Pakistan's military-run ISI of not only supporting the Haqqani terror network but also 'encouraging' it to launch more brazen strikes on American installations in Afghanistan. Demanding a "strong and immediate action" against the outfit, US officials said Haqqani group's activities have become "more brazen, more aggressive and more lethal". Captain John Kirby, spokesperson of Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Admiral Mullen, told Pentagon reporters last evening that there has been a long-standing historical relationship between the ISI and extremist groups. Kirby said: "There has been a lot of activity over the course of this summer - the hotel attack in Kabul, Wardak truck bomb, attack on the embassy and others smaller level operations. It has been a very busy summer for the Haqqani network. It has gone worse." He added "Their (Haqqani's) activities have become more brazen, more aggressive and more lethal. Information has become more available that these attacks have been supported or encouraged by the ISI. The Chairman (Mullen) just had the conversation with (Pakistan army chief) General (Ashfaq Parvez) Kayani last week in Spain. He said this because this is the truth." "All I can tell you that we are confident that the ISI continues to support and even encourages the Haqqanis to launch these attacks. I am not going into, at this point, specifics of the intelligence that we have about the support they have we believe," he said. However, Kirby said Mullen has not spoken to Pakistan Army chief Gen Ashfaq Pavrvez Kayani after his Congressional testimony on Thursday in which he described the Haqqani network as a "veritable arm" of the ISI. US remarks unfortunate: Kayani The war of words between Pakistan and the US on the ISI's alleged links with the Haqqani terror network has further escalated with Pakistan Army chief Gen Ashfaq Parvez Kayani describing US military chief Admiral Mike Mullen's accusations as "not based on facts". In a statement issued by the military last evening, the powerful army chief described Mullen's remarks as "as very unfortunate and not based on facts". He added: "This is especially disturbing in view of a rather constructive meeting with Admiral Mullen in Spain." The Pakistani military had maintained a studied silence as several US officials linked the Inter-Services Intelligence agency to the Haqqani terror network and called on Islamabad to take action against the Taliban faction based in the North Waziristan tribal region. Kayani responded a day after Mullen accused the ISI of supporting the Haqqani network in carrying out a string of deadly terror attacks, including an assault on the US Embassy in Kabul on September 13. Mullen said the Taliban faction was a "veritable arm" of Pakistan's spy agency. The Pakistani military statement said: "On the specific question of contacts with the Haqqanis, (Kayani) said that Admiral Mullen knows fully well which all countries are in contact with the Haqqanis. Singling out Pakistan is neither fair nor productive." The statement did not name the other countries that are in contact with the Haqqani network. Kayani categorically denied US accusations of "proxy war and ISI support to Haqqanis" and said the "blame game in public statements should give way to a constructive and meaningful engagement for a stable and peaceful Afghanistan, an objective to which Pakistan is fully committed".
