Will Rohit Shetty cast Deepika Padukone opposite SRK in ‘Chennai Express’?

Anticipations are high as to who would play the female lead in director Rohit Shetty's forthcoming project 'Chennai Express'. The director has rubbished the rumors of Kareena being the lead saying, "I have not really (approached Kareena Kapoor), she knows what I am making. I might do something else with Kareena. Just wait for ten days and then everyone will come to know who it is. In ten days time, we will announce our heroine."
Shahrukh Khan has been signed for the male lead and speculations are rife that Shetty is considering Deepika Padukone opposite King Khan. Unlike his previous eight films, Ajay Devgan is not a part of his cast.
'Chennai Express' will go on floors from the end of September and release would happen mid-next year. The movie relates the tale of a man who travels from Mumbai to Rameshwaram and what happens during the journey, is what the film is about.
"It is not totally a train journey film, it is something else as well and there is a reason why the name of the film is 'Chennai Express'. Like only 15-20 minutes of the film is in the train, it is not like where the whole film is happening inside the train. I can't talk much about the film as it is too early," Shetty said.

First poster and Trailer: Kareena Kapoor’s ‘Heroine’

Madhur Bhandarkar has released the first trailer and posters of his much awaited 'Heroine' and sure enough, Kareena Kapoor has successfully given us glimpses of the various shades of her character Mahi she plays in the film. The trailer has some shots of Kareena's 'Halkat Jawani' and some where she gets intimate with co-star Arjun Rampal. However, the shots of her smoking scenes in the trailer have been cleared as per the instructions of the Censor Board.
Releasing the first poster of the film on twitter, Bhandarkar tweeted:
"Presenting the 1st poster of Heroine to all my well wishers. Hope you like it," Bhandarkar tweeted. The film, charting the journey of a Bollywood actress, is set to hit theatres on September 14."
One poster has Kareena dressed in a shimmery tank top and shorts lying down on a bed surrounded by magazines and photos of herself and an empty wine glass, while the other has her in 'Halkat Jawani' avataar. Check them out…….

Sonakshi Sinha promotes ‘Joker’ with aliens at Daily Bhaskar office

It was a lively day at the dailybhaskar.com office when lovely Sonakshi Sinha landed there with her three aliens co-stars from her forthcoming 'Joker'. Introducing her co-stars, she waved her hand and said, "They have confusing names, but meet Kachua, Goti and Baba!"
Talking about Joker and her perception about its success, Sonakshi said, "Shirish has done a damn good job because this is a sensitive subject and it has been put together very smartly. Joker is not just about aliens, there is comedy, the story of an underdog coming out on top, there is emotion… it is one good journey."
She further explained that the name of the film takes its inspiration from the Joker in a pack of playing cards which, while it belongs to neither the hearts, clubs, spades nor diamonds suits in the deck, is an individual of great power in any game.
Sonakshi Sinha wrote on Twitter: "With kachua and goti… My aliens from joker :p they don't bite, I promise!!"

Is Tamannaah Bhatia the right choice for ‘Himmatwala’ remake?

Since the time, Sajid Khan had announced his remake of 'Himmatwala', there had been speculations as to who would be the leading lady doing the role played by Sridevi in the original flick. Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone and even Anushka Sharma were being considered as the deserving contestants for the role.
However, it came as a surprise when Sajid announced the name of South beauty Tamannaah Bhatia as his leading lady. Tamannaah has already shown her oomph factor in the rain dance in Rachcha and her sensuous moves in Siruthai. Apart from the fact that she resembles Sridevi's looks, the girl takes pride in her flat tummy, heavy bosom and broad hips- an ideal figure for an Indian beauty. This Telugu and Tamil actress would be playing the lead opposite Ajay in 'Himmatwala'.
Kumar Mangat, Ajay Devgan's business associate has also confirmed the name of the lady by saying, "Yes, it's Tamannaah opposite Ajay in Himmatwala. The shooting starts in August. Ajay has 'Bol Bachchan' on release and 'Son Of Sardar' is almost complete. 'Himmatwala' is the only other project he will start this year."

Kareena Kapoor’s smoking scenes cut from ‘Heroine’ trailer

You will probably not see a 'smoking' hot Kareena Kapoor in "Heroine", as shots of her smoking in the trailer of the film have been censored before being cleared.
The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has decided to blur all images of smoking from feature films.
"We've taken a decision some time back to show no smoking in trailers. This is because in a trailer, there can be no disclaimer about smoking. In the full-length feature film, there has to be disclaimer about smoking at the beginning and after interval. Even then the smoking sequences are blurred," said J.P. Singh, CBFC's regional officer in Mumbai.
Singh also confirmed the censoring of Kareena's smoking scene as well as some love-making scenes and expletives in the trailer of Madhur Bhandarkar's "Heroine". – IANS
