Posted: 27 Jan 2012 08:44 AM PST

Salman Khan created a new trend in Bollywood with the digital posters of 'Ek Tha Tiger'. Now, after a slew of fake posters on the web, Aamir Khan has finally released the first official digital poster of his forthcoming 'Talaash' which stars Kareena Kapoor and Rani Mukherjee and is directed by Reema Kagti.
With the array of fake digital posters, both Farhan Akhtar and Aamir Khan had warned the fans of the same. Farhan Akhtar clarified on Twitter, "Please beware of a fake 'Talaash' poster doing the rounds…. it is not the official first look. That is still to happen (sic)."
Aamir also hired a US based foreign cyber agency to look into the matter. "We are all concerned of these fake posters. Yes, an online agency has been put on to the job of fact- finding. We would like to clear that none of the poster on net are even remotely close to the actual designs," Aamir told a daily.
The movie has the tagline – the answer lies within. Talaash is a collaboration between Reliance Entertainment, Excel Entertainment and Aamir Khan Production.

Co-star accuses Veena Malik of purposely injuring her

Vedita Pratap
Veena Malik came into limelight with the controversial show 'Big Boss' and she has continued to maintain her share of controversies till date. After appearing nude on the covers of a famous magazine, she is now in news once again for purposely injuring her co-star during a fight sequence for the film 'Mumbai 125′.
Veena's co-star Vedita Pratap shares cold vibes with her and she has accused Veena for purposely injuring her on the forehead during a shoot scene. In the scene, Veena had to pull Pratap by the neck and bang her head on an iron rod and Veena did so with a bit too much of ferverity. Vedita had to be nursed at a city hospital and is said to be currently undergoing treatment to get rid of the scar on her forehead.
"It was an action sequence. I was supposed to be beaten up. I don't know what happened to Veena. She actually hurt me and she did it so badly that I had nail marks on my body.
I don't know what was wrong with her. And then she pushed me so badly and banged my head on the rod," said Pratap.
"After the incident, I spoke to the director and told him that she is deliberately doing this. Acting is one thing, but this is just over acting," she added.

‘Agent Vinod’ is complete Indian hero – Saif Ali Khan

Agent Vinod poster 475x686

Dismissing any similarities with fictional spy agent James Bond, Bollywood actor-producer Saif Ali Khan says his character in "Agent Vinod" is totally desi.
The much-awaited action-spy film, with Saif and his real life lady love Kareena Kapoor, is ready for release. And comparisons with the "James Bond" series are inevitable, says Saif.
"Any audience who comes to see the film will think that we have done an Indian James Bond. This is a very stupid thing to do because firstly, James Bond is a completely English character," he told reporters on the sidelines of the launch of the first poster of the movie.
"From the first scene of the film, you will realise that this is an Indian hero who is very different to the Bond character because we didn't want to make a copy of the Bond film," added Saif.
However, if "Agent Vinod" turns out to be a box office success, Saif might consider making sequels to it, a la the "James Bond" series, of which 22 films have been made so far. The 23rd is in the process of being made.
"If the film does well, it depends on the audience. If the picture becomes popular, then of course we will look forward to making a series," said Saif.
Directed by Sriram Raghavan, the action-loaded film is slated to release March 23. – IANS

Veteran actress Hema Malini is elated to learn that her husband Dharmendra will be honoured with a Padma Bhushan, the country's third highest civilian award, and says that the honour was long due.

"He has worked with the best of actors, directors and technicians in his career. I doubt any other actor can boast of such extensive and successful career in Bollywood. Dharamji is very shy so he doesn't speak much about himself," she added.

"I keep telling him that he must act in more films. I feel happy when his work gets appreciated. Such kind of national honour is always appreciated," she said.

Murder film Oscar nod sparks row

Posted: 25 Jan 2012 11:06 AM PST

Damien Echols, Jessie Misskelley, Jason Baldwin
The parents of two of three boys who were murdered in 1993 in the US have said they are "disappointed" that a documentary about the killings has been nominated for an Oscar.
Paradise Lost 3: Purgatory tells of the murders of 8-year-olds Michael Moore, Stevie Branch and Christopher Byers.
Todd and Diana Moore and Branch's father and stepfather said it glorified the men convicted of the killings - the so-called West Memphis Three.
They called the film "a fraud".
Expressing their "sadness and outrage", the parents added, "This film should be exposed as a fraud, not rewarded with an Academy Award nomination,'' in a three-page open letter to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
The Moores had previously asked the Academy not to consider the film for a prize.
Paradise Lost 3: Purgatory is the third in the series of HBO documentaries following convicted Arkansas men Damien Echols, Jason Baldwin and Jessie Misskelley who have always maintained their innocence of the killings, which the prosecution asserted were part of a satanic ritual.
Alford plea
The first film in the series was screened in 1996 and immediately raised doubts about the case.
One of the issues the documentary questions is whether Stevie Branch's stepfather, Terry Hobbs - who co-signed the Moores' letter along with Branch's father - could have been the killer.
The three maintain their innocence though they pleaded guilty to win their freedom
The trio spent 18 years in prison, with Echols - who was 18 at the time - sentenced to death, and Baldwin and Misskelley - both aged 16 - sentenced to life imprisonment.
They were released last August after they pleaded guilty under a so-called Alford plea that allowed them to maintain their innocence while acknowledging prosecutors had enough evidence to convict them.
Over the years, celebrities such as Johnny Depp, Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder and the Dixie Chicks' Natalie Maines joined the effort to free the men.
Christopher Byers' family and Stevie Branch's mother have also since come to believe the men are innocent.
The film's director, Joe Berlinger, said he was sympathetic to the victims' families.
"We believe that the pursuit of the truth has been the best way to honour the memories of the victims of this unimaginable crime and our hearts go out to those who are criticising us,'' he said in an email to the Associated Press.
Berlinger said he thought he was making a film about guilty teenagers when he first went to West Memphis in 1994, but that spending eight months covering the case and watching the trials "convinced us that the West Memphis Three did not receive a fair trial".
However the Moores said of the directors: "They now claim to be 'searching for the real killers' of our sons, but it seems unlikely they will be able to do so while directing movies, travelling the globe, and partying with rock stars.
"Our sons, meanwhile, remain dead in their graves.''
The Academy has so far not made a comment on the issue.
Paradise Lost 3: Purgatory is nominated for best documentary feature along with Hell and Back Again, If a Tree Falls: A Story of the Earth Liberation Front, Pina and Undefeated.

Priyanka refuses to talk about Shahrukh

Posted: 25 Jan 2012 11:01 AM PST

Putting the rumor into rest, when asked about Shahrukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra said that she does not want to talk about King Khan. The actress who co-hosted Zee Cine Awards with Shahrukh Khan has received huge applause for her act and mimicry.

When the actress was asked about her affair with Shahrukh Khan, without wasting anytime, she replied, "I will not talk about this. I shall never talk about this."

Speaking about her upcoming release 'Agneepath', the actress said, "I am nervous and excited. Reports have been brilliant. They have liked Hrithik (Roshan), Sanju (Sanjay Dutt) and my work. More than anything, they have loved the film. I'm very proud of Karan (Malhotra, the director) as this is his first film and I'm his first heroine. For me, it's not a remake. I hadn't even seen the original 'Agneepath' till I signed this film. Also my role has been written fresh."

Apparently, Priyanka's close proximity with SRK has separated the actress from the Salman Khan's camp. "I have worked with every co-actor possible. I don't come from a film background. I don't have relationships with people in terms of uncles and aunts. I have been an outsider. Wherever I'm today is due to the support of this film industry. They have given big films and amazing work to me. It hasn't been because of any director, production house, actor or a person. I have never been a part of any camp. I respect every co-actor tremendously and equally. I would work with anyone," the actress said.

Priyanka Chopra is a versatile actress and over the years, we have seen her growth as an actress.

Sonam, considered to be a style icon for the youths, feels India has a great future because of the young population in the country.
"India is predominantly a youthful nation. When you are younger, you are more idealistic and you want to strive for a better future for ourselves. I think we have an amazing future because we are such a young nation," she said..

Love is in the air in Bollywood, especially for the cutest pair of Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D'Souza who have decided to take their relationship to the next level. The couple will tie the knot Feb 3.
After hiding their relationship in the past and by stating "we are just good friends" now finally Riteish has spoken up about his love life. After seven years, the two actors are coming together in "Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya" which is expected to hit theatres Feb 24.
Riteish told IANS that Genelia kept him on his toes in the film. "No matter how well you know that person but when it comes to the professional level it's a different person and that's a wonderful part. Suddenly, when you work with a competent actor it's challenging. Genelia always keeps me on my toes. Every day I feel that I can do better than her but she kicks my ass."
Riteish, who has some wonderful films to his credit, felt that Genelia was a better actor than him. "I think Genelia is a better actor than me."
Riteish firmly protested that marriage was not going take away his freedom from him. "I don't think there is any sort of fear that my freedom will go for a toss."
"I think when you are seeing each other for so long the question of freedom doesn't arise. You tend to know each other so much, besides we both have been very private," he said.
"We tried to give dignity to our relationship in the privacy that we maintained," Riteish said.
The actor can't stop himself from praising his better half-to-be. On what made him feel that Genelia was the one for him, he said: "One out of the many, I like Genelia's smile and energy. She is very vibrant and energetic. As an actor she has an immense amount of energy in her."
Will a real life couple click as a reel life pair. Riteish said: "I remember a friend of mine telling me that when real life couple comes on screen together some people feel that the chemistry between them would come naturally."
As a couple you tend to say a lot of stuff in one line because you know that person well and understand. But in a film you try to convey this to a third person, he said.
"On the other hand, there is a certain amount of comfort on the sets and some amount of liberty you get," Riteish said. – IANS

Meanwhile, talking about working with his rumoured ex-girlfriend Priyanka, he hints that the duo will recreate their "Kaminey" chemistry in Kohli's project.

Gul Panag: Best wishes!!
Meanwhile, astro-numerologist Bhavikk Sangghvi suggests a Shanti Puja for the new born. He analyzes, "The child was born on January 20 which maker a Number 2 (Moon) person in numerology. She is a Capricorn (ruler Saturn – Number 8) while her destiny number also adds up to the same number which means the girl is doubly ruled by 'shani' which is a positive and not-so-positive sign. Since she is ruled by Number 2, she is automatically ruled by Number 7 (Ketu) as these two numbers always go hand in hand".
"Talking about her stars, she is born under the 'Jyestha Nakshatra' which is considered inauspicious and a 'shanti puja' for the same needs to conducted as soon as possible" advices Bhavikk very strongly.
"Also, in her sixth house, she has 'Chandra (Moon) and Rahu' placed together which makes it a 'Grahan Yog' affecting health (especially pain in the legs), defeat from enemies and losses leading to bad debts. Also, the presence of 'Ketu' in the twelfth house indicates 'Pitrudosh' which may curtail success in the long run. To eradicate these 'doshas', a puja needs to be done at earliest and make her wear a 'Blue Sapphire' (only after testing) at a later stage", Bhavikk adds further.
