The first and the most awaited Bollywood wedding has kick started with a gala Sangeet ceremony of made-for-each-other couple Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D'Souza which was held at Taj Land End and witnessed the whos who from our industry.

The guest list was a pretty impressive one including the likes of Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh, Boney Kapoor and still so gorgeous Sridevi, SRK and Gauri, Malaika Arora Khan, Asin, Sameera Reddy, Shamita Shetty, Dia Mirza, Soha Ali Khan and Kunal Kapoor and so on and so forth. While the male guests like Arbaaz Khan, Karan Johar and even Abhishek Bachchan opted for traditional kurta payjamas, the ladies were seen in heavy kurtis and lehengas.

However gorgeous our Bollywood babes looked, the lady who stole all the glances was undoubtedly bride-to-be Genelia D'Souza who looked pretty and elegant in an exquisite lehenga choli with delicate embroidery designed by the ace Bollywood's fashion designer Manish Malhotra.

Well, Hollywood may be all praises for Aishwarya Rai's beauty but the Bollywood queen is facing some harsh criticism from Italian historian and author of about 17 historical novels, Valerio Massimo Manfredi, for her acting in 'The Last Legion'. The movie is an adaptation of Manfredi's work and stars Aishwarya alongside Colin Firth and Ben Kingsley.
Manfredi said, "My character of the leading lady was totally different. She was from a village but Aishwarya was totally different. She was the lover of the protagonist…but she acted as if the film was for kids," Manfredi is quoted to have told IANS.
Aishwarya's emerald eyes did make a way into Manfredi's heart but the author missed the expression of love in them.
"She has such strong expressive and beautiful eyes. Some little expression of love would have made the film more different," Manfredi said adding, "I have noticed that everybody who has not read the book liked the film and those who read the book did not like the movie. This is very usual because they are two different kinds of expression. While the book uses words, cinema uses images

In an industry when actors get offended for the minutest of reasons, actress Vidya Balan shows that she can take things in their stride and even if it comes with her fellow actresses. When Priyanka Chopra chose to imitate Vidya Balan, as 'Silk' in the movie 'The Dirty Picture' during the recently concluded Zee Cine Awards, Vidya Balan took the spoof in a sport manner. Taking a step further, she personally went to Priyanka to congratulate her and tell her that the act was funny and had been pulled off well.
Not to mention here that Priyanka was all praises for Vidya's spirit. "Vidya takes it in a good spirit. I wore a fat suit to imitate her. After the act she herself told me how funny it looked. She wasn't offended at all. She is extremely sporting," she said.
"Vidya was great in 'The Dirty Picture'. Very few actresses have the courage to gain about 15 kgs for a role!" she added.

Things have been gearing up just right for Karisma Kapoor who was last seen with Suneel Darshan's 2006 dud, 'Mere Jeevan Saathi' opposite Akshay Kumar. However, she is making her comeback with Vikram Bhatt's slick and stylish 'Dangerous Ishq'. If things go right and Vikram Bhatt is able to complete the shoot before deadline, Karisma may be walking the red carpet of the Cannes film festival, held in the French Riviera town of Cannes each year, to showcase her film.
Besides 'Dangerous Ishq', Karisma will also be seen grooving for a special number in director Sajid Khan's upcoming Housefull 2. Besides, Karisma is all set to take up the lead in Soham Shah's Satte Pe Satta remake opposite Sanjay Dutt. Playing Dutt's six brothers in the remake would be Arshad Warsi, Shreyas Talpade, Tusshar Kapoor, Kunal Khemu, Deepak Dobriyal, Rajat Barmecha and Shakti Kapoor's son Siddhant.

High action drama at Sanjay Dutt’s bash

On Sunday night-Monday Morning, Sanjay Dutt held a bash at the Aurus restaurant in the suburbs of Mumbai to celebrate the success of his Agneepath role and film and must say here that the bash was an eventful one. Everything was rolling on smoothly till around 4.30 am when Shah Rukh Khan entered the venue in a drunken condition straight after the Filmfare awards with three bodyguards.

SRK headed straight towards director Sirish Kunder to give vent to his grudge he had been nursing against him since quite sometime. The argument apparently started when SRK confronted Shirish about his nasty remarks on RA.One. During RA.One's release, Kunder had tweeted: "I just heard a 150 Cr firework fizzle."

SRK assaulted Sirish and things heated up so much that Baba Dewan had to intervene. It was finally Sanjay Dutt who pulled the actor away.

Farah Khan confirmed the incident. "Shirish, my husband, was beaten up by Shah Rukh and his three bodyguards in Sanjay Dutt's party. Shah Rukh asked Shirish why he had tweeted against him… There was no provocation from our side. He had screamed at Shirish telling him that he would destroy me as well," she said.

Shocked and hurt Farah says, "Shah Rukh has always told me that physical abuse is the worst way to sort out a problem, and that it means the person who's hitting has either a personal or professional crisis going on. It saddens me to see him doing the same."

Nevertheless, you enjoy some clicks of beautiful Bollywood ladies at the bash…….
