All's well that ends well. Shah Rukh Khan and Shirish Kunder called a truce Tuesday, a day after they were embroiled in a scuffle at a party. Shirish said their friendship has become stronger than ever now.
"Sajid Nadiadwala and Sajid Khan were the mediators and had arranged a meeting. Whatever issues we had, we kept before each other and the misunderstanding has been solved. Things are sorted out now and our friendship is renewed," Shirish told IANS, after the patch-up.
Shirish along with his wife Farah Khan, brother-in-law Sajid Khan and producer Sajid Nadiadwala had arranged the meeting at Shah Rukh's house Mannat.
"It was a mutual thing and was not about saying sorry to each other. Since I am younger I can't expect Shah Rukh to say sorry. We kept our egos aside and were gracious enough about it. Being the younger, I should have not reacted like this. Our relationship has become stronger like never before. Everything that was said has been cleared face to face now," he added.
Shah Rukh is alleged to have hit Shirish at a bash organised by Sanjay Dutt to celebrate the success of "Agneepath". The fight is said to have taken place at a popular club in the early hours Monday.
Farah, who was the first one to speak about the incident, is also happy that things are sorted out.
"It was really ugly what has been happening since yesterday. It was getting blown out of proportion. With all kind of different rumours and stories, it was just too much of negativity to handle. I thank Sajid Nadiadwala and my brother Sajid Khan that they took the initiative and we met up," Farah told TV channel Times Now.
"It is not pleasant episode to have happened. Things were going out of hand, everyone wanted to take sides and Shah Rukh, Gauri, Shirish and me were the ones who were getting affected directly by what was happening," she added.
"Fights happen in every family and you have to sort it out and ours is now finally sorted. What we spoke is a very personal thing but everything is sorted and all the people who were getting entertained by this, just want to say 'sorry', as they won't be getting entertained anymore," she added. – IANS

Choreographer-filmmaker Farah Khan is upset about a reported brawl between her superstar friend Shahrukh Khan and her husband Shirish Kunder at a high-profile party here.
The fight is said to have taken place at popular club Aurus during Sanjay Dutt's success party for "Agneepath" Sunday-night-Monday morning.
"Shah Rukh has always told me that physical abuse is the worst way to sort out a problem and that it means the person who is hitting has either a professional or personal crisis going on and it saddens me to see him doing the same," Farah said in an official statement.
As the news about the fight gained momentum, IANS tried contacting Shah Rukh's official spokesperson for a comment, but had not received any response so far.
However, Kunder took to Twitter to clarify that he is not planning to file any official complaint in this regard.
"Thanks for all your concern and wishes. We are very grateful. Contrary to rumours, we have no intention of filing an FIR or police complaint," tweeted Kunder.
Apparently, while guests were having a ball, at around 4.30 a.m., Shah Rukh entered the venue straight after the Filmfare awards with three of his bodyguards. According to eyewitnesses, he headed towards Kunder and roughed him up.
"We didn't know what was happening. We saw SRK enter. Then we saw him head towards Shirish from behind the director. SRK pulled Shirish down to the ground by his long hair. We were all shocked. We had never seen SRK behave this way before," said an eyewitness.
"Before anyone could react, Baba Dewan, the owner of Aurus, ran in and intervened. SRK told Dewan to keep out. Dewan said the place belonged to him and he must intervene. The fight would've been prolonged had Sanjay Dutt not pulled SRK away from the ugly scene," the eyewitness added.
Kunder apparently left immediately.
Kunder's wife Farah Khan was one of Shah Rukh's closest friends but they fell out a year back. Farah, who was shooting all night for Bela Sehgal's "Shirin Farhad Ki Nikal Padi", got to know of the fight only when she returned home in the morning. – IANS
Look who's caught in SRK-Shirish brawl!
Mumbai, Jan 30 (IANS) Jewellery designer Farah Khan Ali wouldn't have thought that having a similar name as of choreographer-turned-filmmaker Farah Khan would some day prove to be a problem for her.
Ever since the news of a brawl between superstar Shah Rukh Khan and filmmaker Shirish Kunder has come out, the jewellery designer is inundated with calls asking her about the incident.
"Wish the press would do their homework. Got calls in the middle of work asking me if @iamsrk slapped my hubby. Had to clarify I am the jewellery designer," she wrote on her Twitter page.
"So for all of you out here who are confused and following me because you don't read and assume I am a film director, let me say I am a jewellery designer.
"And for those asking me for my comments. I would say "No comments" as I was not present at the party when the incident happened and had left.
"In order to be judgemental about a situation one needs to be present and know all the facts. Commenting for the sake of it makes no sense. Both Gauri and Farah Khan are my friends. I will never pick sides and I am sure they will sort it out in good time. So no more on this please," she added.
