Sherlyn Chopra’s hero in 'Kamasutra 3D' finalized

Posted: 24 Jul 2013 12:39 PM PDT

Model King Malkhan will get to romance Sherlyn Chopra in the film Kamasutra 3D. He plays a naga sanyasi in the erotic thriller.

Director Rupesh Paul has finalised model King Malkhan for the male lead in Kamasutra 3D and he will be seen romancing Sherlyn Chopra in the film.

"We are announcing the name of the male lead of the film at Cannes," Paul told IANS, affirming that after a long process "we could finalise an actor".

"We found more than 20 actresses, who agreed to act with frontal nudity, but could not get a single male actor, who is famous, ready for the role," he added.

King Malkhan will be seen doing martial arts like kalarippayattu in the film.

"We had short-listed five actors in November last year and gave them specific requirements for the character. We did three-stage auditions with these actors and out of them King Malkhan was more impressive," said Paul.

"Since the movie had a lot of action sequences and martial arts like kalarippayattu, training was important. He made a lot of effort in voice training also. And he impressed me by getting rid of his six-pack to become a naga sanyasi in the movie," he added.

The film's team is in Cannes since May 15 to unveil the second trailer of their film.

Music Review: Poonam Pandey’s 'Nasha' songs entice you slowly

Nasha music review; Music Director: Sangeet-Siddharth; Singers: Anirudh, Monali Thakur, Shaan, Anusha Mani, Akshay Deodhar, Sukriti Kakkar, Prakriti Kakkar, Sangeet, Siddharth; Rating ***

The music of Amit Saxena-directed erotic movie Nasha has six tracks. In contrast to the film's theme, the songs are romantic and soothing. Music directors Sangeet and Siddharth's compositions will surprise listeners in a pleasant manner.

The first song is "Tera nasha". Sung by Anirudh, it gradually gains in tempo without losing its smoothness. Anirudh has sung it in a very peaceful and cool tone. Although it might not be perfect in rhythm, the singer's surreal voice makes it a good song. There is no use of heavy music or too many instruments - only the guitar takes the lead.

Next is "Laila", which has Monali Thakur behind the mike. A very sweet song, it is not an item number. While the track talks about the sensuality of a character, there is no heavy beats or 'dhinchak' feel to it. Monali scores well as she sings with a tinge of youthful ardour, giving it a vibrant feel. The whistling bit in the end is fun to hear.

The male version of the song has been done by Sangeet and Siddharth and it is much softer.

Singers Shaan and Anusha Mali come together to croon "Besharam". The lyrics are in layman's language and the track can very well attract the young college-going crowd because of its fresh and youthful appeal. The singers' voices complement each other.

"Goti song" is a perfect combination of fun, uselessness and naughtiness and listeners may wonder about its purpose. Sung by Akshay Deodhar, Sukriti Kakkar and Prakriti Kakkar, it suddenly picks up pace and becomes a group song. The lyrics do get a little naughty, but at the same time they are funny and quirky.

"Nasha Mix", the last track, is the only one with considerably fast beats. Being a mix, it has fast beats and punk in it. Sangeet Haldipur's voice adds a kind of romanticism to the song.

The six tracks of Poonam Pandey's "Nasha" do not have anything erotic. Rather the music is sweet, simple and has a very calm undertone. Of course, one cannot vouch for the videos of the songs, but the audio definitely is good and soothing in its own respect.

Poonam Pandey

Video - Poonam Pandey in the first 'Nasha' song 'Tera Nasha'
The first song from Poonam Pandey's debut film Nasha shows an 18-year-old boy infatuated with her. The song 'Tera Nasha' captures the moments when the young lad falls in love with the girl.

The movie, directed by Amit Saxena, is touted as a passionate love story between an 18-year-old boy and a 25-year-old girl. The young boy is played by newcomer Shivam. Poonam Pandey plays the 25-year-old.

The lazy afternoons on a swing, the fun and banter, and the emotional moments when a distraught Poonam seeks solace in his warm embrace and he gently offers her a shoulder to lean on. All these moments are captured by director Amit Saxena and they culminate in a passionate lovemaking scene in bed. No surprises.

Though Nasha is Poonam Pandey's debut film, director Amit Saxena, of Jism fame, says she was effortless in her performance. "I was completely blown by the talent she has, by the talent that was on display and it was effortless. She was absolutely effortless," Saxena said.

Sex is an extension of love: Sherlyn Chopra

Sex is an extension of love: Sherlyn Chopra
For a girl indulging in frontal nudity in her upcoming film, talking about sex is no big deal. Sherlyn Chopra feels that real sex is always an extension of love. Without love, sex is meaningless, according to her.

Sherlyn Chopra has in the past displayed the daring to admit publicly that she's had sex for monetary favours. But her view of sex has changed overtime.

Talking about her new movie Kamasutra 3D, Sherlyn says the film presents sexual acts as an "extension of true and compelling love" and not just an outcome of lust.

"That's what I truly believe or at least have started to believe that real sex is an extension of true love and if it is not, then it is meaningless sex...it is frivolous sex or casual sex which does not appeal to me and to the majority of the people across the globe who believe in long-lasting relationships," Sherlyn admits candidly in an interview to TOI.

The siren also revealed that she has now discovered her true side and realized that she's not as outrageous as she used to think of herself.

"I am just a girl-next-door who wants to succeed in life and who is ready for love, for commitment, for family life…" Sherlyn Chopra admitted.

The girl is presently busy promoting the show Splitsvilla 6. She recently visited Kolkata for the promotions.

Poonam Pandey having sleepless sex nights!
Hot siren Poonam Pandey is having sleepless nights these days. What's the reason?

The reason isn't what some of you might have thought. It's the fast-approaching release of her first film Nasha that's made Poonam Pandey nervous and keeping her awake at nights.

"Tweethearts! Yaar Tenssion aa gaya ... couldn't sleep Last night. .. Just just 3 days to go 26th July," Poonam shared her anxiety with her fans on Twitter.

Meanwhile, there's a negative development to give tension to both Poonam Pandey and the film's director Amit Saxena. The hot and provocative posters of Nasha have angered some people and politically affiliated groups in Mumbai and Delhi.

In Mumbai's Mahim area, a group of protestors tore down the posters of Nasha and set them on fire. In Lower Parel and Borivali, too, the posters have been taken down after protest by the members of the Shiv Sena.

In a similar protest in Delhi, the posters were taken down and torn in Seemapuri area by the locals.

Nasha tells the story of love and sex between an 18-year-old boy and a 25-year-old woman. The film is directed by Amit Saxena of Jism fame and slated to release this Friday.

Poonam Pandey’s leaked photo from 'Nasha'

Poonam Pandey naked at Nasha
When it comes to clothes, Poonam Pandey surely believes less is more, as is evident from this new leaked photo of hers from her debut film Nasha.

The image revealed by a Poonam Pandey fan club, has the siren in just the bare essentials. She stands topless but (sadly) with her back to the camera. The light plays upon her curves, giving it a definition against the black background.

Expectedly, Poonam is not upset over the leaked photo but is enjoying all the attention it is getting. She's been even retweeting the links to the photo.

The strip sensation is set to enter Bollywood with Nasha which is directed by the Jism fame director Amit Saxena. The movie has Poonam playing a 25-year-old girl on whom an 18-year-old boy has a solid crush. The two get into a torrid and passionate affair, but a lot of heartache follows.

The film is being touted as a sensuous love story. Director Amit Saxena has already been singing Poonam Pandey's praise for her dedication and talent.

Nasha hits theatres on July 26.
