This is an era of remakes. Following the trend, director Rohit Roy is all set to remake the 80's sex comedy 'Shaukeen' which starred Ashok Kumar, Utpal Dutt and A.K. Hangal as the three old men who try to woo a young girl (Rati Agnihotri). Directed by Basu Chatterjee, the movie had Mithun Chakrborty playing Rati's boyfriend.
For the role played by Rati, Rohit Roy has approached Bipasha Basu who has accepted the offer.
"Bipasha loved the script and agreed to do the film… But can't confirm when we go on floors as the casting is still in progress," tweeted Rohit Roy.
Meanwhile, the actress is in London to shoot the last schedule of her debut international project Singularity.
"Living in London is dangerous! Desserts here are to die for and constantly tempting me! Scones and clotted cream and now Eaton mess is messing me up," tweeted Bipasha.

Shraddha Kapoor is the new Aashiqui girl

Shraddha Kapoor
Shraddha Kapoor, daughter of actor Shakti Kapoor and Shivangi Kolhapuri, made her Bollywood debut with 'Teen Patti' alongside Amitabh Bachchan. Then she had a three-film deal with YRF films under which she featured in 'Luv Ka The End' which was a disaster at the box-office. Then came a year long wait for Shraddha and there was no development at the YRF camp. Then, Shraddha got a call from Mahesh Bhatt's production house and she was offered Aashiqui 2 which she accepted.
When things with 'Aashiqui 2' were being finalized, YRF offered Shraddha another flick 'Aurangzeb' opposite Arjun Kapoor, which also required the same dates. Shraddha made her choice and joined the Bhatt camp with Aashiqui 2 without taking the consent from her production company. As such YRF were extremely upset with her and have asked her to leave.
The spokesperson of YRF said, "Shraddha was not a part of Aurangzeb and she has parted ways amicably as we had no films to offer her at this stage."
'Aashiqui 2' under Vishesh Films will feature Shraddha in a sensual and interesting role in the sequel. Shraddha confirms: "Yes, I am the new Aashiqui girl."
Besides Shraddha, the sequel will star Aditya Roy Kapoor, who is best known for his work in films like Guzaarish (2010) and Action Replayy (2010).

Shriya Saran to groove on an item number for ‘Zila Ghaziabad’

Shriya Saran
Shriya Saran has not had a very successful career in Bollywood. She has done some not so significant roles in flicks like 'Tujhe Meri Kasam', 'Mission Istanbul' and 'Gali Gali Mein Chor Hai'. Now, she will be seen grooving to a sensuous item song in Sanjay Dutt's forthcoming 'Zila Ghaziabad'.
Shriya is quite excited about the song and said at an interview, "I have done an item song in 'Zilla Ghaziabad'. It is a fun song. Every time I used to see myself on the monitor, I used to think 'Is that me'? As an actor, it is fun to experiment with your image. I have done many item numbers in the South, but this would be my first in any Hindi film."
Shriya Saran will next be seen in "Midnight's Children", a film adaptation of Salman Rushdie's 1981 novel of the same name. The film has been written and directed by Deepa Mehta.

After facing in much criticism for her post motherhood extra kilos and her not so happening dressing sense, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is back and how!! The actress charmed everyone with her elegance and grace at Cannes 2012 and once again, she made the jaws drop with her style and beauty at the opening of the Bulgari Hotel and Residences in London on June 12.
She was invited as a special guest to celebrate the opening of the Bulgari Hotel and Residences in the city. The event also had Dev Patel and Italian actress and filmmaker Isabella Rossellini as the honoured guests. Ash bonded well with Isabella and even invited her to her place.
Aishwarya looked stunningly beautiful at the event. Keeping in mind the fact that she is not exactly in perfect shape now, the actress opted once again for a traditional Sabyasachi Mukherjee creation.
The attire made of net and tulle was in black and white which complimented Ash's colour. The long black stole in net taken on one side had intricate golden thread work. It was very apparent that the actress has shed some extra kils and with her hair let open, her double chin was less visible.
Sometime back at the Longines event in Dubai, designer Sabysachi Mukherjee had said, "Aishwarya has the most beautiful face. If I were to dress her up again, I would make sure that her clothes are simple."
Not that we agree less!!
