Kalki Koechlin signed for ‘Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani

Kalki Koechlin got much praises for her performance in 'Shaitaan' and the girl has mostly been associated with off-beat cinema. However, Kalki is all set to move into the mainstream commercial movie zone with Ayaan Mukerji's Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani, which stars Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles. Prior to this, Kalki was seen in a supporting role in superhit 'Zindagi Naa Milegi Dobara' which was an all masala flick.
"Yes, I have signed for Ayaan's 'Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani' and I am leaving for the shoot tomorrow," said Kalki confirming the news.
This Ayaan's second film as a director and will be produced by Karan Johar. Pritam has been roped in to compose the musical scores for the film.
Kalki has proved her mettle in quite a few films. She made her debut into Bollywood with 'Dev D' which went on to become a huge success. She went on to marry Anurag Kashyap who had directed 'Dev D'. Kalki is not much active on social networking sites and explains, "Reasons why I don't tweet much: sometimes it feels like I'm having a conversation with myself…Reasons why I don't tweet much: too much time on the iPhone might make me blind… Reasons why I don't tweet much: I type slow and think fast…i don't want to become vitamin d deficient."

Remember Mumaith Khan, the hottie who created sensational ripples with her luscious curves and sensuous moves in the 'Seekh Le' number in 'MunnaBhai MBBS'. The girl is back once again to hit the screens with her seductive gyrations in an item number for the Bollywood film Enemmy. The song has been shot at a studio in Film City where the set of a bar had been put up. Mumaith grooved on the table in a ghagra choli emptying beer bottles on the onlookers. The song also features film's actors Suneil Shetty, Mahakshay Chakraborty (Mithun's son Mimoh rechristened) and Johnny Lever. The song was choreographed by Saroj Khan.

The movie, Enemmy, is not called so due to numerology. It is named so after its six principal characters, Eklavya Karmarkar aka Bhau {Suniel Shetty}, Naeem Shaikh {KK Menon}, Eric Collaco {Johnny Lever} and Madhav Sinha aka Maddy {Mahaakshay Chakraborty}, four daredevil CID officers, who can be relied upon whenever the city faces problems from the underworld, a don responsible for mayhem — Mukhtar Menon (Mahesh Manjrekar) and one CBI officer Yugantar Sharma (Mithun Chakraborty).

It was all glamour, glitter and a star studded affair when Ekta Kapoor held the third Balaji Global Indian Film and TV Awards 2012 at Filmcity. The attendance was impressive including the likes of Ranbir Kapoor Bipasha Basu, Kangna Ranaut, Saif Ali Khan, Sunny Leone, Jeetendra, Jiah Khan, Vidya balan and Priyanka Chopra among others. The event was hosted perfectly by Karan Johar. About her award function being different and classier from other award functions, Ekta Kapoor said, "The idea is to create something that is fun and will set a benchmark of sorts. People shouldn't feel it's just another awards function," says Ekta, adding that even her mother Shobha Kapoor wants it to be a tasteful, plush affair.

"We will be pulling people's legs without making them uncomfortable," says Manuj Agarwal, CEO, Balaji Telefilms. Actors like Priyanka Chopra and Saif Ali Khan spiced up the event with their performances. Catch a glimpse…..
