Sonakshi Sinha's item number 'Chammak Challo Chail Chabeeli' from Rowdy Rathore bears similarity to Kareena Kapoor's 'Chammak Challo' from 'Ra.One' not only in words but also in the fact that the two heroines bear strikingly similar look in a red saree for the song. However, Sonakshi insists that no comparisons should be drawn between the two songs as they are quite different from each other.
"I am not just Chammak Challo, I am also Chail Chabeeli. I would like to say when we had shot for this song, 'Ra. One' had not released and we had not seen that 'Chammak Challo' in a red saree. It's just a co-incidence," says Sonakshi.
"Both the songs are different, it was westernised but our song is full of Indian melody. So you should not compare the two," she added.

The temperatures in Sri Lanka soar up as the hot Indo-Canadian porn star Sunny Leone strips down to a two-piece bikini for the shoot of her debut Bollywood project 'Jism 2'. Sunny posted her pics on Jism's twit handle that reads "#JISM2-DAY 9- SRI LANKA. Just another SIZZLING day in paradise! Drool! Drool!"
In one still, Sunny Leone is seen lying on a watery beachfront against the backdrop of trees. In another the she stands with her back to the camera stretching her perfect figure on a rocky shore.
The makers of the film have already let it out the 'Jism 2' is high on the hotness quotient. Sunny had recently tweeted: "Shooting a bunch of sexy shots for @Jism2. This movie is so hot you guys are gonna love it!"

Esha Deol looks forward to honeymoon

Actress Esha Deol, who is set to marry her businessman beau Bharat Takhtani, is already planning her honeymoon.
"Wedding prep going on and on and on can't wait for da honeymoon," tweeted Esha.
Esha got engaged to Bharat Feb 12 in a private ceremony at her Juhu home.
Earlier reports indicated the duo will wed in July, but Esha's mother, veteran actress Hema Malini had denied the news. Going by Esha's update, it seems the wedding bells will ring anytime soon. – IANS

A bespectacled studious girl to a glam diva — Bollywood actress Vidya Balan has essayed a range of characters in showbiz, but she says she always wanted to do a double role.
Her dream came true thanks to her endorsement deal with a new range of snacks brand Aliva.
"This snack is a perfect marriage between healthy and tasty, and then (in this ad) I was getting to play a double role. Only Sridevi and Hemaji (Hema Malini) have done it so far. I have always wanted to do a double role," Vidya told reporters here.
"We don't have double roles for some reason in films anymore… so this (offer) was too good to be true. Too many things fitted my bill," she added.
The 30-second campaign for Aliva's multi-grain waves will go on air early June.
In the television commercial, Vidya will be seen in two avatars — her traditional "Parineeta" look and her sexy siren look from "The Dirty Picture".
Vidya, who won a National Award for "The Dirty Picture", says the ad reflects her range of acting, and proves all those, who tried to typecast her, wrong.
"The ad took me back to 'Parineeta'. For the longest time after 'Parineeta', people just wanted to see me as (in the look of) Parineeta. And they didn't think I was capable of much else. They wanted to pigeonhole me into a stereotype of sorts."
"But then slowly, one began to push the envelope and thankfully the audience has accepted me with open arms. I was getting to do all these things – Parineeta and Silk as diametrically different as possible in the ad film — and make a point, for the ad, and for myself," said the 33-year-old. – IANS

Finally, Poonam Pandey's series of titillating pics and publicity campaigns through nude controversial comments on social networking sites has paid off. The actress has finally bagged in her debut deal in Bollywood through director Amit Saxena's next flick. We do not need to mention here about the kind of role Poonam will be playing in the film.
Says director Amit Saxena, "Given her sexy image, no doubt Poonam will add value to the film." However, he also added that there's a lot more to the story than the sex siren's part.
Since Amit declared his decision to cast Poonam in his project, gossip columns have been abuzz with the comparisons between the hotness quotient in his film and Pooja Bhatt's 'Jism 2' which stars pornstar Sunny Leone in the lead.
"Pooja is making her film, I'm making mine. I don't think there should be any comparison between Sunny and Poonam. If it's because of their respective images, it's another issue. All this talk of competition and comparison is being fictitiously created," Amit quotes adding, "I had just met the producers twice and they didn't want the film to be talked about until things were final. I was also surprised and angry to read about it earlier. But now that it is on and Poonam has been confirmed, I'm talking."

Sometimes being too pricey could cost you much in the industry. Our beautiful and highly successful Katrina Kaif lost a prestigious two-wheeler endorsement deal to Anushka Sharma owing to her whopping high price of around 6 crore for an annual contract.
This particular two-wheeler company was keen on signing Katrina KAif for their ad campaign owing to her popularity, but when they learnt about her fee, they started looking for other options and considered signing Anushka Sharma in her place.
Next when they learnt that Anushka, too, charges a pretty high fee of about 4 crores for an ad campaign, they decided that it would be a better option to pay some 2 crores extra and rope in Katrina Kaif only as her popularity would have a greater impact on the viewer's minds.
When Anushka came to know this, she immediately slashed her fee down to 3 crores, when the company executives learnt that that Anushka was not only willing to sign the deal for Rs 3 crore, but also give a couple of days more than Katrina for the shoot, they decided to go ahead with her.
Anushka has already signed the contract and will start the shoot for the campaign shortly. The agency will create the campaign keeping her bubbly and effervescent image in mind.

Mallika Sherawat made her first appearance at Cannes in a rather conservative brown Victoria Beckham dress. She went for a knee length body hugging dress with a cowl neck accessorized with a small pendant, a messy hairdo, golden watch, minimal makeup and small hangings.
Next, when she made a second appearance at the Cannes premiere of Madagascar 3, she went for a complete bold and sexy transformation with a backless nude coloured gown. The dress designed by Paris based designer Ali Madhavi was held together by a thin waist belt. Mallika went for a winged out eyeliner, bouffant hairdo and a pair of classic diamond earrings to complete her look.

Chitrangada Singh has been the face of Aliva, the popular snacks brand for three long years now and as the company launches its new range, they have roped in Vidya Balan as the brand ambassador for their new campaign. Six new baked variants have been launched by Pepsico India under Aliva and the company feels that Vidya is an apt choice for their new range.
"An accomplished actress, a woman of substance and an affable personality, Vidya is a great match to highlight the brand's positioning…we are confident that it will be mutually rewarding," said Vidur Vyas, marketing director of Foods, PepsiCo India.

Nargis Fakhri too hot to be Mithunda’s sister

It was meant to be her next big film after Rockstar. But Nargis Fakhri has just lost out on her dream film opposite Akshay Kumar, because of changes beyond her control.

The film, Kumar's home production Khiladi 786 which goes on the floors next month is now left without a lead actress after Amitabh Bachchan pulled out because of health and date problems. The filmmakers, who roped in Mithun Chakraborty woke up to the realisation that the half-Asian model-actor, best known for her pout, would never fit in as Mithunda's sister.
A source close to the developments said, "Nargis was signed by Himesh Reshammiya and Akshay Kumar to play Amitabh's sister in the film. However after Bachchan pulled out, Akshay roped in Mithun to essay the role of gangster Tatya Tukaram Tendulkar. That changed a lot of things."
Apparently, Akshay was not willing to compromise on the role of the gangster, and given his equation with Chakraborty, especially after the success of Housefull 2, he was keen to have him on board. Unfortunately for Nargis, this meant she had to let go of her big role. There was no way the filmmakers would pass off the sophisticated Nargis as the earthy actor's sister, added the source.
The parting between Nargis and the makers of the film was amicable, we are told. And it happened on Monday afternoon. Sources also claim that there are no ill-feelings between the actress and the filmmakers. "They have decided to keep their options open for a future project that may bring them together. Right now, the hunt is on for a new leading lady," said the source. In the film Paresh Rawal and Himesh Reshammiya play Gujarati characters of Champak Lal and Mansukh and Akshay Kumar plays a Punjabi guy. The film goes on the floors in June and is directed by debutante Ashish R. Mohan. Producer Himesh Reshammiya and Nargis remained unavailable for comments.

Well, the happy tidings are in as Shilpa Shetty becomes a proud mother of a healthy baby boy today on May 21 at the Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai under the exper hands of Dr. Kiran Coelho. Raj Kundra was by Shilpa's side from the beginning till the time she was admitted till her delivery at the break of dawn. Raj and his family and Shilpa's entire family, including mother Sunanda and sister Shamita, were present.
An all elated father Raj Kundra tweeted: "God has blessed us with a beautiful baby boy. Both mother and baby are fine. I am thrilled to bits!!!!!!"
"A big thank you to my wife @TheShilpaShetty for the bestest gift ever, DR Kiran Cohelo and all the staff at Hinduja Hospital (sic)," he added.
Congratulatory messages have already begun to pour in on Twitter. Bipasha Basu said, "@TheShilpaShetty and Raj Congratulations on the birth of ur lil baby boy!So happy fr you both!Love!"

Uday Chopra goes Hollywood – Rubs shoulders at Cannes with Nicole Kidman

Sadly enough, Uday Chopra, the son of highly successful film maker Yash Chopra, could not make it big in Bollywood. After a dream debut with superhit 'Mohabbatein', the actor has only 'Dhoom' and its sequel which can be counted as successful films in his career.
Disheartened by this fact, the actor turns to the West for rescue. Uday now heads YRFE, which was established last November as a subsidiary of Yash Raj Films to develop, finance, and produce English language films for the U.S. and global markets. Uday is reportedly producing 'The Longest Week', starring Jason Bateman, Billy Crudup and Olivia Wilde and to be directed by Peter Glanz.
Justifying his action, Uday says, "My family has a deep commitment to making and distributing quality films that entertain and enlighten audiences. I share that passion, as well as a love for American films that I have had since childhood. It is that enthusiasm and my love of the creative process of filmmaking that drove me to start this new venture."
Uday has also teamed with Pierre-Ange Le Pogam of Parisian company Stone Angels to produce and finance the upcoming Nicole Kidman project, Grace of Monaco. The film will be directed by Olivier Dahan and deals with the story of efforts by the late Princess Grace of Monaco (the former Grace Kelly, played by Nicole Kidman) to make peace between her adopted country and France.
Uday says, "Grace of Monaco is the kind of movie that has a perfect blend of talent and sensibility that YRF Entertainment is proud to be a part of."
What Bollywood could not do it for Uday, Hollywood is doing it and a proud Uday gets to walk the red carpet at Cannes this year rubbing shoulders with Nicole Kidman!!

Shilpa Shetty, Raj Kundra blessed with a baby boy

Shilpa Shetty delivered a healthy baby boy at the break of dawn at a boutique hospital in Khar.

Says a source close to Shilpa, "The baby and mother are doing fine. Shilpa's husband Raj Kundra was by Shilpa's side from the beginning till the time she was admitted till her delivery at the break of dawn. It was only after he saw the baby that he finaly left home to go and rest. Raj and his family and Shilpa's entire family, including mother Sunanda and sister Shamita, were present. Dr. Kiran Coelho delivered the baby at a healthcare hospital in Khar. Though Shilpa was due any day on Sunday she had gone for a normal check up but the doctors admitted her immediately as the contractions had begun."

The source adds that Shilpa and Raj are ecstatic at the news. Raj says, "Baby boy! Hip hip hurray! Both mom and baby are fine!"


Shilpa and Raj have been married for three years and this is the couple's first baby. On 4th May Shilpa's sister Shamita had thrown a baby shower for her elder sister.

TV actor Shilpa Saklani claims innocence after she was detained along with her husband Apurva Agnihotri at a rave party, busted here by the Mumbai police. They insists they weren't aware it was a rave party.

"It was a nice sundown party and we had gone there for a date. We didn't know it was a rave party," Shilpa told reporters here Monday.

The couple was caught in the raid late Sunday night at Oakwood Premier Hotel in Juhu along with nearly 100 others, including IPL players Rahul Sharma and Wayne Parnell.

"We were hardly there for 25 minutes and were sitting outside. There were journalists and scientists as well. We saw cops had come to the hotel and we were sent for medical examination," she added.

The actress, who was seen as Ganga in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, says they hardly ever party.

"It was after a long time that we had gone out together. And this is what happened. How are we supposed to differentiate which party is safe and which unsafe," she said.

The couple was taken to a government hospital to take their blood sample, but she was upset with the way the procedure took place.

"The cops were very supportive but what hurt me the most was that the hospital staff was not supportive at all. My blood sample were taken but wasn't labelled for almost 45 minutes.

"I requested them to do so as I didn't want my blood sample to be swapped, but they were very rude. I told them if the labelling is not done properly, the results can put us in grave trouble," she added.

However, Shilpa is sure that they will come out clean.

"There is no way my test can be positive," she said.
