Bipasha Basu has spent a large chunk of her life living alone away from her family, but now the actress finally gets to live with her family around her. Bips recently gifted a spacious 3BHK flat in Bandra to her parents. Her residence is just a few minutes away from this flat. Her elder sister Bidisha too stays closeby with her family.
An all elated Bipasha says, "Two weeks ago, we did the Satyanarayan and Grihapravesh pujas, after which they shifted into the new flat. The interiors have been designed by Ehsan Qureshi and Rajeev Acharya, who have also done up my home. My parents now live just five minutes away from Bidisha and me," adding, "I've lived alone since I was 16! In 2005, I surprised my mother with a fully furnished house. My parents shifted to Mumbai from Kolkata as as my younger sister Bijoyeta wanted to study here."
"I am very happy! Though dad's base is still in Kolkata and he keeps flying in and out of Mumbai, now my entire family lives very close to me," she says expressing her happiness.

Sonam Kapoor blends fashion with social cause

Fashionista Sonam Kapoor loves fashion and this time she took a step further by blending fashion with a social cause. Sonam walked the ramp in a khaki and green Anamika Khanna creation for Design One, an exhibition organised to raise funds for an NGO that works for the betterment of the lesser privileged, provide a platform to young talent who otherwise won't be ably to display their work publicly.
"I love fashion and I love cause. I'm excited to support this event. These kind of charity events give a platform to young talent and to female entrepreneur who usually can't display their work publicly," said Sonam.
Design One is an initiative by Sahachari Foundation and encouraged participation from well-know jewellery and fashion designers. The money raised from this event will go to a charity. Sonam loves dressing and she has no qualms in accepting the fact that she is a shopoholic and an impulsive buyer.

Rakhi Sawant visits Parliament

Actress Rakhi Sawant has nothing to do these days. With not many projects in her hand in the professional front, the actress decided to take a visit to the parliament on the first day of the budget session in order to draw media attention, it seems. She said that she wanted to see how it works.
"No one invited me. I just came to meet the MPs. I've come to see parliament, to see how it works and how our leaders are working," she told reporters.
"I've come to convey the message to (Congress chief) Soniaji (Gandhi), on behalf of all the people and women that there should be something for women in the budget and it should be fair to everyone," Rakhi Sawant said.
These days Rakhi is becoming interested in politics it seems. Oft and on, comments are pouring in from her side on politics. Recently she made a statement advising Baba Ramdev not to dub all politicians as "thieves", she said he should do yoga and not abuse others. Few days back she also expressed her admiration for Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.

Small time actress Nupur Mehta, who was drawn into the match fixing scandal, has claimed that all the allegations made on her by the media for being involved in the match fixing scandal are false.
As per the Sunday reports of The Sunday, tens of thousands of pounds were being offered to players to throw international matches including the World Cup semi-final between India and Pakistan last year. With this report was attached a picture of Nupur , with the face blurred, wearing a green sequin bikini.
"All these allegations are false. I am not involved in this I can never think about match fixing. My pictures have been used without my permission by Sunday Times," said Nupur Mehta adding, "I am upset… I was at my home watching the match and not at Mohali during the India-Pakistan match."
"I am honest and innocent," said the actress. It may be mentioned here that Nupur starred in a supporting role in the film Jo Bole So Nihaal, which had Sunny Deol in the lead role.

U/A certificate for ‘Agent Vinod’

"Agent Vinod", an action spy thriller has got a U/A certificate from the censor board after a screening Wednesday and Saif Ali Khan is happy with this.

Directed by Sriram Raghavan, the film has Saif in the title role and is releasing March 23. Kareena Kapoor plays the female lead in it.

"Our film has a lot of action but we have worked on keeping it more realistic and less violent. And after censor board's screening, we have got a U/A certificate and I am very happy," said the actor who is in the city for the film's promotion.

"We wanted more people and even the kids to watch the film. And my son Ibrahim is also very excited and told me that he and his friends want to watch 'Agent Vinod'," added the actor.

U/A means Parental Guidance. All ages admitted, but certain scenes may be unsuitable for children under 12. This rating is similar to the MPAA's PG-13, the BBFC's 12A, and the OFLC's PG and M ratings.

Angelina Jolie has bravely and vehemently spoken against the Ugandan warlord Joseph Kony and called for his arrest. Joseph Kony, a guerrilla leader who is head of the Lord's Resistance Army, has spread terror through many countries in the eastern and central Africa for almost three decades. Jolie is also shown in the 30-min-long documentary titled Kony 2012 released by the campaign group Invisible Children Inc, which urges the viewers to contact Jolie and others like Bill Gates and Justin Bieber. This documentary video was first released on Vimeo and Youtube and has registered millions of views since last week.
Now, our Bollywood beauty, Sonakshi Sinha has taken a step forward and postedan image from Kony 2012 on her social networking site along with an update which reads, "The first step to starting something great, or in this case, ending something terrible… Is creating awareness. It was a trend started by Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor. The two were quick and bold enough to admit their relationship and taking the lead from 'Saifeena', more and more Bollywood couples are stepping out in open with their relationships. The newest love birds to enter the gossip columns are Neil Nitin Mukesh and Sonal Chauhan who seem to be in no mood to hide their relationship any more.

Rumors started picking up when Sonal came in as a guest and a special one at Neil's house party. The two were also spotted together at the recent Dheeraj Deshmukh-Honey Bhagnani's sangeet. Lately, they were spotted enjoying each other's company at a nightspot in Kala Ghoda over the weekend. They both came together at the lounge bar and were there for a considerable time. According to the onlookers, they were very comfortable together as they laughed and chatted away. Earlier in the evening both the actors were spotted at a fashion event in the suburbs though they did not arrive or leave the venue together. Vidya Balan has struck the chords and how!! She is still basking in the success of 'The Dirty Picture' bagging in the award for the Best Actress at the 59th National Awards and her latest release 'Kahaani' is going places. The actress was seen promoting the film by selling movie tickets of Kahaani at Fame Cinemas, Mumbai.
Now to mention here that director Sujoy Ghosh is a happy man these days. Even Rekha watched the film and had called up Ghosh to congratulate him on his work.
An elated Sujoy tweeted, "yesterday Rekhaji saw KAHAANI & called me. I swear I was going to faint or die when I heard her voice. Incredible moment of life. Huge fan.(sic)."

Shillpi Sharma signed for Madhur Bhandarkar’s ‘Heroine’

Model turned actress Shillpi Sharma from Dholpur near Agra made her debut in Bollywood with director N. Chandra's 'Style'. Then she was cast in 'Jo Bole So Nihaal' and also went for a small role in 'Right Yaa Wrong', but she still has to make her presence felt in this tinsel town and she hopes to make it big this time as she has been signed for Madhur Bhandarkar's ambitious project, 'Heroine'.
The actress has shot a couple of scenes for the film. "Madhur, a family friend, approached me for the role. He was looking out for someone glamorous and was of the opinion that I was perfect. I cannot reveal much as I'm bound by a contract but I have a pivotal role in the film," she said.
Shillpi had to hit the gym to get fit for the character and said, "Madhur wanted me to lose weight and look fit. So I have been training accordingly."
Shillpi has also done many TV commercials for brands like HSBC, McDonalds, Park Avenue, Pears, etc. She also did a music video with Harry Anand, directed by Rahul Sud.
