Emraan Hashmi kiss Kareena Kapoor in new movie

Actors Kareena Kapoor and Emraan Hashmi have teamed up for a romantic film which will go on the floors later this year

Emraan and Kareena have been signed together for the first time for a romantic drama, to be produced by Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Motion Pictures and Karan Johar's Dharma Productions.

"We are excited to have Emraan and Kareena on board. It is a romantic film and completely original. The shooting will begin from September-October in Mumbai and Delhi," sources close to the development said.

The makers are in the process of finalising other stars for the film. There have been rumours that the film is titled 'Batameez Dil', but the source denied it saying the title is yet to be locked. The movie will be directed by debutant Akshay Roy.

SRK-Gauri in big trouble over sex determination of surrogate baby

Just three days after a tabloid claimed to have a scoop on actor Shah Rukh Khan and his wife Gauri planning their third child that too, a baby boy through surrogacy, the actor finds himself at the receiving end.

On Sunday, the National Inspection and Monitoring Committee filed a legal complaint against the Khan couple for engaging in sex selection of their baby. The complaint also names the actor's alleged doctor and the hospital in question, though both have denied any involvement.

"Though we are a fan of Shah Rukh Khan and we appreciate his acting, we are sorry to say from the Lek Ladki Abhiyan dias that he is revealing the sex of the child, who he is expecting in July. If he knows that he will have a son this means he has misused the technique. He should be punished for this. He should be sent to jail for 5 years and should be made to pay a fine of Rs 50,000 fine," Varsha Despande, who is the complainant in the case and one of the founder members of Lek Ladki Abhiyan, said.



Interestingly, the actor, who is a proud father of two teenaged children - Aryaan and Suhana - has not confirmed the surrogacy story and sources say that he is not too happy with this ongoing slugfest either.

Meanwhile, Mumbai's municipal officials have already been asked to probe into the matter. "The state government has informed us about the issue. We will be investigating the matter and then take appropriate action," Executive Health Officer Dr Arun R Bamne said.

If the tabloid's report is true, then Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan, won't be the only Bollywood couple to have opted for surrogacy. Aamir Khan and wife Kiran Rao had their first child Azaad back in 2011 through a surrogate.

Why Richa Chadda is no longer part of a lesser-known banner's upcoming action film directed by Devang Dholakhia

Richa Chadda has apparently done a rethink about acting in a film with Sunny Leone. The Gangs of Wasseypur and Fukrey actress, who was slated to feature in the action flick, is no longer part of the project.

The film directed by Devang Dholakhia, who earlier made films like 3 Nights 4 Days and Marega Salaa, was announced earlier this year.

Says a source, `Richa seems to have done a rethink, now that she is doing films with bigger banners. She's presently working in a film with Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Her new film Fukrey is a Farhan Akhtar production. She is keen to be part of known banners.`


Richa confirms, `I am not doing the film. I don't know why my name was announced. I am looking forward to two of my films this year -- one is Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film and the other is with Neil Nitin Mukesh.`

Adds the source, `Though the film was announced earlier this year, casting for the film is still on and it is slated to go on the floors soon. Telly actor Iqbal Khan also features in the film while the hunt is on for an actor to essay the negative role.`

The actress has apparently replaced Richa Chadda who is no longer part of the project as reported 'Sudden change of heart'. Filming is slated to begin in August.
