Esha Deol gets engaged to Bharat Takhtani

The year 2012 turns out to be an year of marital alliances in Bollywood. After the much glam wedding ceremony of Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D'Souza, Bollywood gears up for yet another high profile wedding as actress Esha Deol gets engaged to her beau Bharat Takhtani. The event took place in a private and close gathering of friends and well-wishers at Hema Malini's bungalow in Juhu, Mumbai. Hema Malini told reporters: "We are very happy today for Esha and Bharat. It is a happy moment for all of us. Bharat is a very nice person. It is a private function." An elated Esha Deol said, "I am happy and I thank everyone for their blessings." The wedding date is yet to be decided and once the date is decided, Hema Malini has promised to make an official announcement for it.

Actress Anushka Sharma looked as gorgeous as ever at the launch of designer Ritu Kumar's new flagship store at the Raghuvanshi Mills, in Mumbai. Anushka was clad in a blue-coloured lehanga with broad gota work, an Indian-textile inspired ensemble, from Ritu Kumar's couture collection 'Panchvastra' at an event in the city recently.
The impressive guest list who was present there to congratulate the designer included Reena Wadhwa, Sabina Singh, Nethra Raghuraman and Chhaya Momaya were present to congratulate her. Taking a keen look at the vibrant colour palate, mirrorwork, gota and zardosi embroidery was Akanksha Agarwal, Anjana Sharma and Aarti Surendranath.

Deepika ditches ‘Race 2′ for a Hollywood project

Actress Deepika Padukone chose to walk away from 'Race 2' after being offered a Hollywood project despite the fact that she had already shot for a week for the film. The makers of the film have decided not to take this lying down and as such, producer Ramesh Taurani has filed a case against her with Cine & TV Artistes Association (CINTAA) and Association of Motion Pictures & TV Programme Producer of India (AMPTPP).
Ramesh Taurani says, "I have been a part of the Hindi cinema industry for 25 years. I have made several blockbusters. But I have never faced a situation like this before. Our directors and the other actors are extremely annoyed with her."
If Deepika fails to respond to the complaint, then the case will pass onto the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE). If still not addressed, then she would have to face a Non-Cooperation Directive (NCD).
Senior producer Pahlaj Nihalani explains, "If Taurani has filed a complaint against Deepika, she will have to honour the dates which she had allotted to him. If she has given the same dates to any other producer, she cannot shoot for the other project."

Imran Khan dines with Mauritius PM

Actor Imran Khan is on a high these days. Not only has his awaited flick EMAET hit the screens today, he had also been invited for an official dinner, to be hosted by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in honour of the visiting Prime Minister of the Republic of Mauritius, Dr Navinchandra Ramgoolam, and his wife Veena. The dinner took place at the Hyderabad House in New Delhi.
However, Imran is busy these days with the promotion of 'Ek Main Aur Ek Tu', but he would surely not want to miss this honour. "Imran has become a well-known Bollywood face in the island country. He is excited to have been invited by the PM, since not many get this honour so early in their career. He's making sure he doesn't miss out on the opportunity," says a member of his entourage.
An elated Imran says, "It's a great honour to be invited for dinner by PM. Since I am in the middle of promotions, I have requested Karan to give me a couple of hours off to attend the special event

A sneak-peak into ‘Housefull 2: The Dirty Dozen’

Sajid Khan raked moolah at box office with 'Housefull'. He is back once again with 'Housefull 2: The Dirty Dozen'. The film stars Akshay Kumar opposite Asin Thottumkal in the lead. While Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Boman Irani, Randhir Kapoor and Chunky Pandey carry on from the original, Asin, John Abraham, Jacqueline Fernandez, Zarine Khan, Shazahn Padamsee, Shreyas Talpade, Rishi Kapoor and Mithun Chakraborty are the new entrants.
Filming of the movie started on 9 June 2011 in London & Peterborough. The first look of the film has been revealed and the release date has been fixed for 5 April, 2012. Malaika Arora Khan has done an item-number in the film and Sajid-Wajid are the music directors of the movie.
