Sanjay Dutt as Kancha Cheena in ‘Agneepath’ remake Posted: 30 Nov 2011 06:36 AM PST Much is being anticipated and expected from the remake of the superhit film 'Agneepath'. The original Agneepath was made in 1990 under the direction of Mukul Anand and starred Amitabh Bachchan, Mithun Chakraborty, Madhavi, and Rohini Hattangadi, with Danny Dengzongpa as the villain. It was produced by Yash Johar. The remake of the film is being directed by Karan Johar's former assistant Karan Malhotra. It will reportedly be radically different from the original film. But the tagline-"Vijay Deenanath Chauhan, poora naam, baap ka naam Deenanath Chauhan, gaon Mandwa." remains the same. Hrithik Roshan has stepped into the shoes of Amitabh Bachchan and Priyanka Chopra will play his love interest. The character played by Mithun Chakraborty has been totally done away with in the remake. The role of the villain Kanch Cheena played by Danny in the role will now be done by Sanjay Dutt.
